Chapter 68 - Chapter 66: The Magnetic Field

"I can let you use a portion of Magnet Release right now."

The Radical Spirit floated beside Kiyohara in the mental space, his arms crossed.

Magnet Release is the fusion of Wind and Earth chakra. It is a genetic lock, an insurmountable chasm for normal ninja.

"?"

A metaphorical question mark appeared over Kiyohara's head.

"Then why didn't you say so earlier?!"

"Because if I held your hand through everything, you wouldn't learn anything!" the Radical sneered. "True strength requires you to be more cunning, more dangerous, and more domineering than the enemy!"

"..."

Kiyohara sighed.

'This confirms it,' he thought grimly. 'I cannot trust these Spirits blindly.' What if he inherited an urn from a future self who joined the Akatsuki? Or someone obsessed with the Eye of the Moon Plan? He had to stay in control.

"So, how will you help me?" Kiyohara asked, his eyes scanning the burning lime-fog.

The cover was perfect. No one could see what he was doing. And since he had spent the last three days publicly grinding Earth Release, if he manifested Magnet Release now, he had the perfect "spontaneous awakening" alibi.

"Like this."

The Radical Spirit overlaid his phantom body onto Kiyohara's.

Instantly, Kiyohara felt a foreign, heavy chakra surge through his network.

'Magnetic Force.'

It wasn't just a mental guide; it was actual, tangible power. Just as Dan Kato could transmit chakra to Tsunade after death, or Obito could gift Kakashi the Mangekyō from the afterlife, the Radical Spirit was lending him his literal strength.

"Experience it well," the Radical said, his voice echoing in Kiyohara's skull. "My Magnet Release is different from the others."

Every Magnet user had a specialty.

The Third Kazekage used Iron Sand. Rasa used Gold Dust. Toroi of the Cloud magnetized his shuriken.

"I don't manipulate sand," the Radical explained proudly. "The planet itself has a massive magnetic field. I developed a technique to connect my localized chakra field to the planetary field. I call it... Magnet Release: Magnetic Field Rotation."

Kiyohara listened, a sense of pseudo-scientific dread washing over him.

'Is that even physically possible? Are you turning me into a human railgun stator?'

"I apply the magnetic force directly to my own body," the Radical continued. "I use the planet's magnetic pull to artificially increase my mass and kinetic momentum. It's called 'borrowing power'."

The next moment, an invisible, crushing weight settled over Kiyohara.

It felt like he had been locked inside a suit of solid lead armor. His knees buckled slightly. It was difficult to breathe.

The air around him hummed. The ambient magnetic field within a few meters was warping, drawn toward his chakra network like a whirlpool.

Crack.

The stone beneath Kiyohara's feet splintered just from him shifting his weight.

"Without my chakra holding your cells together, this technique would instantly crush your bones into powder," the Radical warned. "But with my protection... you are a walking battering ram."

Kiyohara exhaled slowly. A puff of white breath escaped his rebreather mask, immediately dragged backward by the swirling, localized gravity field around him.

'Fortunately, I inherited the Rogue Ninja's and the Sword Master's physical energy,' Kiyohara thought, his muscles straining against the immense pressure. 'Otherwise, I wouldn't be able to lift a finger.'

He couldn't use this power on his own yet. He needed to fulfill the dying wish first. But for now, he was a passenger in a tank.

"Let's move."

Kiyohara channeled chakra to his heavy feet.

"Konoha Body Flicker!"

SPLAT.

SPLAT.

Two muffled, wet crunches echoed through the fog.

It wasn't the clean swish of a blade slicing a neck. It sounded like a sledgehammer crushing a watermelon.

Two more Mist Chunin dropped dead. Their chests were completely caved in from blunt force trauma.

The sheer kinetic energy of Kiyohara's movement was creating localized vacuums in the air, spinning the fog around him in miniature tornadoes.

"Did that guy... use some powerful Ninjutsu?" Mei Terumī paled, hearing the brutal impacts. "Is this his true strength?"

She thought Kiyohara had just improved his swordsmanship over the last month. She had no idea he was currently operating with the mass of a dump truck.

The dense fog, intended to be their ultimate assassination tool, had become a slaughterhouse.

The remaining Mist Chunin gripped their kunai, trembling. They regretted landing on this flank. None of them had Wind Release affinities. They couldn't blow the lime away. They were trapped in a cage with a monster.

Outside the fog, Kakashi's Sharingan spun rapidly, trying to pierce the gray soup.

"Kakashi, what's the situation?" Rin asked, her hands clasped anxiously.

"Kiyohara is safe," Kakashi frowned, sensing the massive spikes in chakra. "But... he's doing something in there. The chakra signatures are erratic."

Deep inside the fog, Kaguya Masaru frowned.

He couldn't see, but the Kaguya clan's primal battle instincts were screaming. The air pressure was wrong. The ambient chakra was heavy, almost oppressive.

The environment had changed, and it was entirely unfavorable to him.

"Mei," Masaru barked. "Keep trying to cast Wind Release. We need vision."

Mei didn't have a natural Wind affinity, but as a genius, she could force a low-level gust. "Okay," she nodded solemnly.

Masaru turned back toward the swirling mist.

His blood boiled. The threat of death ignited every cell in his diseased body.

'Yes. This is it,' Masaru thought, grinning wildly. 'An opponent who forces me to the absolute brink!'

Bones erupted from his knuckles, forearms, and shoulders, gleaming stark white against the gray lime.

"I will... defeat you!" Masaru roared into the fog.

Mei stepped up beside him, weaving signs. 'We will defeat him together!'

From the fog, a heavy, rhythmic thudding approached.

The mist swirled, parting around a figure walking toward them. The air itself seemed to bend around him.

The hunt was in its final phase.
