Chapter 1 - Chapter 1. Doggie found.

Hi...who do you belong to? You must be hungry. Let's get you some milk and go find your owner" Alejandra muttered to the beagle she found at the staircase to her apartment building. The little dog waged it's tail and pulled out his tongue to lick the corner of it's mouth as if in agreement to Alejandra's suggestion. "Haha, come let's go" Alejandra took the dog inside her kitchen, poured some milk in a bowl she found and fed it to the dog. An hour later, she drove herself and the dog to town and reported a missing beagle. "It doesn't have band to trace it's owner and we don't have anyone reporting his dog haven gone missing." the attendant at the local animal shop told Alejandra. "You can keep it till it's owner comes to claim it. He seems to be a good dog" she added. Alejandra didn't think twice about taking up the unexpected offer. She had always wanted to have a pet of her own anyways and this was the perfect time to have one, even if it's for a little while. She signed some documents, gave her address in case anything comes up and went away with the dog. Her next stop was the animals feed shop, where she got it's food supplies and a band for him. On the band, she had Sammy scribbled on it for that's the name she called the beagle. She also got a dog's blue leash.

It's been six weeks, four days since Alejandra found Sammy and no one had come to put a claim on him. Alejandra was happy though because, she had hoped no one will come for 'her Sammy'. "Sammy sit! Now, that's one good boy we've got here" she muttered as she went to fetch whomever was trying to break her door down. She opened the door to the face of her painfully gorgeous neighbor. "Hi" Miller smiled sheepishly to the petite redhead he's been spending every minute rehearsing how to approach her for the past few weeks. He had been meaning to make friends with her but didn't know how and the fact she didn't speak with anyone in the neighborhood other than wave at the old Bayfords.
