Chapter 101 - Chapter 101 — Aftermath and Recovery

The first light of dawn filtered through the tall northern trees, casting a soft silver glow over the battlefield. The forest smelled of smoke, earth, and the lingering trace of dark energy. Wolves moved carefully among the scorched earth, tending to the wounded and repairing shattered defenses.

Nyra walked slowly, silver aura dim but steady, chains of lunar energy coiling gently around her wrists. Every step brought memories of the battle — the shadow leader's roar, Kael's golden flames, and the pack fighting as one.

Kael trotted beside her, muscles still tense, his golden eyes scanning for any lingering threats. "The forest is quiet," he said softly. "Too quiet."

Nyra nodded. "It's never truly quiet after a battle like this. The shadows retreat, but remnants remain. We need to heal the land as we heal our pack."

Fenrir and the Ashfang warriors moved through the perimeter, helping to stabilize fallen trees and cleanse corrupted energy. Silver and bronze guardians floated along the ridge, their ethereal forms radiating calm energy that restored balance to the forest.

Young wolves helped the healers, bringing herbs and assisting the injured. The pack had learned in the battle that every member mattered, from the youngest pup to the eldest warrior.

Nyra knelt beside a wounded wolf, her silver chains gently wrapping around the injury, mending torn flesh with lunar energy. "The battle is over," she murmured. "But our work has just begun."

Kael stood on a ridge above, his golden aura brightening as he surveyed the forest. "We've survived the shadow leader," he said. "But Shadowfang is more than surviving — we're preparing. For the future, for the prophecy, for everything that's coming."

The elders gathered near the central clearing, their eyes reflecting pride and caution.

"One battle won," an elder said softly, "but the First Blood Moon's legacy is far from complete. The shadows we fought were only the beginning."

Nyra met their gaze, silver eyes steady. "Then we learn, we train, and we protect this forest. Shadowfang has survived storms before — we will endure this one too. And we will be ready for whatever comes next."

As the sun rose fully, the Blood Moon's faint light lingered in the sky, a reminder of its ancient power. Shadowfang wolves, young and old, guardians, and allies moved together through the forest, restoring life to the wounded land, strengthening bonds, and preparing for the challenges ahead.

The battle was over, but the prophecy whispered of greater trials — a call that Shadowfang was ready to answer.
