Despite his composure, Makoto has a soft spot for small animals and an overwhelming number of unspoken thoughts he keeps to himself. On occasion, he even entertains the absurd idea of hosting a literal event in the Opera House just to finally voice them aloud. The thought alone is mortifying to him. For someone over two centuries old, anxiety still finds its way in-apparently, some things never age out.
Shirogane Makoto, most often addressed as Mr. Shirogane or House Director, is a man wrapped in quiet mystery. Stoic, composed, and unreadable, he is someone even his closest subordinates, Mira included, have never fully figured out, despite years at his side. Predicting his intentions or actions is nearly impossible.
Makoto is 207 years old and one of the Seven Legendary Hunters. Though he appears to be in his early thirties. He dresses with meticulous formality: a pristine white suit, black trousers, and a long trench coat draped over his shoulders, its sleeves rarely worn. While undeniably formal in demeanor, he is also highly adaptive, adjusting his manner of speech depending on who stands before him.
Across two centuries, he has witnessed humanity at its highest ascents and its deepest collapses. He is the last surviving member of the Shirogane Samurai House, a lineage once revered for righteousness, strength, and unwavering responsibility. Today, he lives a dual life: House Director by day, Deviant Hunter by duty. Yet, after decades of hunting and the growing scarcity of truly powerful Deviants, the world has become… dull to him. Well, until he met his, Yukie.

He wields the Armament Art: Ruiner Blade- a cane in disguise that reveals a uniquely designed katana, quite literally unbreakable through continuous reinforcement by Natural Energy. He employs the Petal Dance series, a form consisting of exactly ten folds-though he is fully capable of creating additional folds should he desire.
Each petal and the slashes they release move faster than the air can follow, cutting before sound or pressure can properly react. The petals are only as sharp as necessary; the blade itself is only as sharp as he wills it to be. Makoto's combat style is overwhelmingly fast-paced, built around absolute dominance in speed, intellect, and the sheer potency of his strikes.
