'Have you really made your mind; I want you to rethink your decision.' Spoke the old lady to the sunny youth enjoying shallow wind under the sun, face covered under cowboy hat, to which he replied in an annoyed grunt.
'Its final I'm leaving, I'm done here there's nothing new same boring life every day, I want to see the wider world and you have no right to stop me.'
'You speak so lightly of me, I have raised you since forever.'
'What about it, I'm 16 old enough to look for myself, you lack nothing inside the sanctuary anyways, you know how strong I am, don't worry I'll be in touch.' her words were cut by a sharp rebuke from the boy
'Now if you'll excuse me, I have to apply for my exit, I'm done here'
As he removed the had an angular face with sharp jaws was revealed beneath, pitch black iris, light brown skin and silver colored hair gave him a unique but manly charm. Looking at his broad back Agartha felt melancholic, it was just yesterday she held this abandoned child and swore to be a good mother, he was akin to a boom for a widow, she poured her all to raise him in his image the one who departed early leaving her desolate and lonely in this cold world, years later he's all grown up and transitioned into rebellious phase not even listening to her, she wiped the tears silently, this might be the last few days she spends with her son, though not blood related but she never made him feel lack of love and care a child should receive from a parent.
Going in the kitchen she tinkered around preparing to make his favorite meal.
On the other hand, the rebellious young man was typing clumsily on his laptop.
Name – Neel Vipr
'Nah that doesn't sound cool' he was stuck on first column but hardened his mind
Name – Neel Viper
Age -- 16
Address – B-16 Cave Town, 16th sanctuary
Subject – Request to leave sanctuary
Reason – Biologically Inhuman, Seeking Higher Education, Employment
He was about to type 'Its too boring inside' but made it higher education, anyways the result will be same, these people can't wait to throw him out of here. He was only allowed to live cause Agartha donated a large sum and he was too young when she brought him, practically an infant to be a threat and hadn't shown any violent tendencies.
Finally, he clicked 'submit' option, a few seconds later he received notification, a slot was booked on his name for '8th July, 9 AM' the time he will be picked off
'Now I just need to pack up, man I can't wait to see real world'
Since young Neel has lived inside this sanctuary, these places are mainly built for humans so his presence was frowned upon and many times he was discriminated. He was always attracted to the life outside, through internet Neel was able to access and see a wider world since long his mindset has changed, a man should live freely, not like cattle bound inside a barn called 'safe haven'. Neel always wanted to leave but Agartha wouldn't agree, now he's 16 free from reigns of any guardian.
'Damm, I'm really excited, I must relay it to her and prepare.'
Just some clothes, chargers, toothbrush, toothpaste, laptop and he was done packing. Neel excitedly ran downstairs
'Agartha, they replied, I'm leaving tomorrow morning.'
'T-That early it should at least take few days to reply'
'I don't know I packed up everything needed you got some change; I might need it'
'Yes, but first eat your dinner, I have prepared your favorite meal'
'I love steak' Neel jumped in the meal ignoring the sad expression on her face, he wanted to avoid looking at her
'You know they won't let you in after this.'
'Yeah, but you can still leave this place, once I make it big, I'll fetch you out of here, just wait'
Agartha shook her head in exasperation and got up to wash the dishes
'You know the life outside is certainly more exciting but not exactly how you imagine'
'Perfect that's why I'm leaving'
Neel spoke in a crass manner while letting out a large burp
'I'm going to sleep, be sure to wake me up early in the morning in case alarm fails'
Agartha sighed and looked outside the windows, sky was clear in the sanctuary, the twinkling stars along with the full moon in the sky made it a mesmerizing scene but for her it was nothing new
Was It right to raise him inside Sanctuary? What if I raised him outside would he still leave?
Such thoughts swirled inside her head but she still did not regret her decision, 15 peaceful and happy years with her son was more than enough and if fate wills, she will meet him again. The only thing she felt sorry was the prejudice her son suffered by people and children his age for his uncommon origins, but there's nothing she could do about that, it is the norm here
'Look after my son' she prayed not to any god or deity but to the stars who covered her world.
Neel woke up early in the morning to be exact he barely got any sleep, he was just that excited, following his daily routine he stretched his body did some exercises then freshened up, Agartha was up and busy in kitchen.
Soon he sat down for breakfast, it wasn't anything new, egg, milk and bread butter, just like daily he devoured it all.
'I packed some extra luggage, its food and accessories that I want you to take with you, not much but it'll last you two or three days just in case.'
'Alright-umm I'll leave in an hour'
'I passed some credits in your account as well.'
Neel opened his account; his credit score has increased from three thousand to thirty-three thousand. This is main currencies regulated by central reserves of the world government and most widely used for any transection.
He stood up to wash the dishes, a while later Neel held the luggage and stormed off. Looking back Agartha was waving her hands to him; he too waved back then focused on the path ahead.
The spot he's required to reach is a few kilometers ahead thus an early departure; the road was empty no vehicles no people. Civilians inside sanctuary can only keep two wheelers since they do not need to leave house anyways, once a week a ration truck provides food clothes and daily use items required to all inhabitants.
The sanctuary is a place only humans are allowed to live sponsored and overseen by the world government itself.
BY 8:30 he was sitting on a bench waiting for pickup.
Soon he spotted a bus carrying the logo of world government which stopped before him, the driver dressed in military uniform inquired for some info mainly name, slot number before guiding him to his seat. It was near the window and Neel enjoyed the scenery and ride before long he was disturbed by someone
'Hii myself Sara' spoke the girl sitting beside him
'I'm Neel'
'Where are you going?'
She was of same age as him but a normal human, he knew from one look. Her hair was dyed green in a wolf cut and a nose ring gave her the look of a troubled child. The abrupt question caught him off guard nonetheless it was courteous to answer a beautiful lady
'I don't know maybe Sarsind'
'Huh? Isn't that right outside the sanctuary'
'Yeah, I haven't decided my final destination'
'And you left the sanctuary without a destination in mind?'
'What about you, where are you going maybe I'll tag along' to which he earned a scoff
'I have relatives outside I don't think they'll appreciate your company.'
There was silence, Neel stopped talking actually he lied, he already has a destination set and that was to join a mercenary group. He wasn't going to some academy or college to study that is a good place for humans and just fine for Inhumans too for pursuing higher studies but that is not his goal, revealing his Inhuman identity to some human stranger would only create sourness thus he kept quiet.
A Mercenary Corp registered under world government is better choice for any inhuman, they train you, teach you and pay high salaries, it's an exciting and thrilling life exactly the kind Neel craves for.
