The next day arrived in the blink of an eye. Sunlight struggled to pierce through the thick, dark sky over Apex City. The once-bustling city now felt like a ghost town, with only zombies wandering the empty streets.
Suddenly, the ground started to tremble.
The dazed zombies became agitated right away. They growled and roared toward the source of the sound. A massive convoy of more than a thousand armored buses stretched endlessly down the ruined road.
They roared forward, smashing everything in their path. Zombies charged at the vehicles, but they were cut down instantly as gunfire rang out.
BANG! BANG! BANG!
TATA! TATA! TATA!
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
Gunfire and explosions filled the air. Infected bodies were torn apart left and right. The buses kept moving steadily toward the storage facility. As they rolled through the giant entrance, soldiers stood guard on both sides.
Buses entered empty and left full, creating a constant flow of traffic.
