Chloe and the group moved. They ran, following the birds' direction. They didn't pause. The air burned in their lungs, but they didn't stop. To stop means giving it enough time to level up. Giving it enough time to finish them faster so they run.
"I think this is the place," Deena said as she bent to support her tired body. Her breath shook. Fear and exhaustion pulling at her edges.
"The birds passed through the shield. I saw it ripple." Deena explained in a low voice. She didn't want to but she had to make her earlier statement feel true.
"It looks like a mansion?" someone grasped with amazement.
"That expression is off, can't you feel the aura the gate is emitting like death and hunger for blood."another person chimed in.
The gate was blood red in color like it didn't shy away in telling the crowd the reality they were in.
"A mansion in the Death Zone? It's unheard of." The words came out with disbelief. The kind that curled into dread.
