Alfonso immediately ran to save Penelope, who was nearly hit by a cyclist at high speed. It was a quiet area, so some visitors were deliberately riding recklessly. He immediately hugged his girlfriend's lithe body, avoiding the bike that would have hit them if he'd been just a few seconds late.
Penelope widened her eyes as her lover, who was still hugging her tightly, felt his panting and the cold sweat dripping down his neck. She felt even more guilty for ruining their date.
"Are you okay?" Alfonso asked frantically, checking his lover's physical condition.
Penelope nodded, resting her head on her lover's chest. "I'm fine. I was just worried you'd get hurt saving me."
Alfonso laughed heartily as he stroked his lover's tiny head. "There's no way I could get hurt. I've been working as Flint's personal assistant for years and I've never been hurt."
