Chapter 50 - Someone Must Die

Regarding Shisui's mention of "the High Command's will is already firm," Itachi knew he was talking about the recent issues with Root having their funding, missions, and supply requests blocked.

Although Shikaku didn't know, he could roughly guess Hiruzen's usual tactics.

However, the Uchiha Clan Members were not in a hurry at all. If they wanted to restrict them, let them restrict them, the Uchiha were happy to take it easy. If they were short on money, they would just go and take bounty missions. Being short on money was impossible, it would never happen in this lifetime.

On the contrary, the Uchiha Clan Members were happy every day, waiting to watch the show.

With Root in the hands of the Uchiha, the mission completion rate was almost one hundred percent.

But it wasn't like that in the hands of other Anbu. In the last few days, the Anbu's casualty rate had doubled.

Now the Uchiha were just waiting to see when Hiruzen would bow his head and admit defeat.

It's just that they hadn't told Hiromi about this, worried that he would go to the center of the village and cause a big scene again.

Now, he was just going to crash into the Hyuga Clan Compound. A small matter, but also a good thing.

Crashing into the Hyuga Clan Compound was equivalent to a counterattack, a form of deterrence.

However, Shikaku thought about what would happen afterward.

What if Hiruzen remained tough and continued to support the Hyuga Clan?

The current situation was that the High Command and the Uchiha clan were fighting each other, while the Hyuga Clan wanted to third party.

But this was Konoha, the home court of the High Command. So the High Command could instantly become the third party, watching the Uchiha clan and the Hyuga clan fight each other.

If the Uchiha and Hyuga clans were evenly matched, that would be fine. But never mind Hiromi, just Itachi and Shisui alone could crush the Hyuga clan.

Not to mention Hiromi, this volatile variable who could get angry at any moment.

Whether it was the Hyuga Clan or the High Command, neither could deter the Uchiha.

Unless... one of the Sannin returned.

Now, Tsunade had left Konoha without a word, and there had been no news for many years.

Orochimaru had become a rogue ninja.

There was only one person left.

Thinking of this, he sighed.

In the final analysis, it was still Hiruzen, this Hokage, who wasn't up to the task.

'I should try my best to persuade Jiraiya to take on the role of Hokage.' He thought to himself.

Meanwhile, the stream of light in the sky began to descend.

"Is the sun particularly bright today?"

The Uchiha clan members felt dazzled and squinted their eyes. They felt something was wrong, and couldn't help but feel suspicious. Looking closely, they felt it was even stranger.

"That's not the light of the sun."

"What kind of light is that?"

"Gold... gold..."

"That gold..." A clan member shouted, dumbfounded, "It's Flame Emperor Mode!!!"

The clan members panicked, and the sunflower seeds in their hands fell all over the floor.

"Holy shit!!!"

Itachi looked anxious and rushed out immediately.

The clan members followed closely behind, their speed astonishingly swift.

Soon, only Shikaku and some women were left standing in the Uchiha Clan Compound.

"Aren't you going?" A rather familiar middle-aged woman asked.

"Aren't you afraid of Hiromi?" Shikaku, as the captain of the Konoha Jonin, asked in return.

"Not afraid. He is doing this for our own good. Otherwise, the Uchiha would have been wiped out long ago." The woman said with a smile.

Shikaku nodded, his expression calm.

He had seen Hiromi's Flame Emperor Mode. That terrifying high temperature that turned everything into magma, and even the extremely scorching white light that could distort space...

He knew.

The Uchiha Clan Members knew too.

This time, the damage caused by Hiromi would be immense. That was why the Uchiha Clan Members had all run over—to stand with Hiromi, preventing the Hyuga Clan from getting hot-headed and recklessly trying to kill Hiromi.

But that was only on the surface. Behind the scenes, Hiromi was likely trying to destroy the Hyuga Clan's idea of getting involved.

As long as the Hyuga Clan voluntarily gave up, the High Command could not support the Hyuga Clan and would only be able to continue fighting the Uchiha clan.

But the deterrent power needed to be controlled well. Just causing greater momentum and greater losses was not enough. Someone had to die. Therefore, someone would definitely die this time.

'The person who dies must be important, but not that important.'

Shikaku looked calmly at the golden stream of light, and the image of a Hyuga elder appeared in his mind.

He sighed, full of helplessness.

So volatile, yet so precise in his strikes.

The sky over Konoha was about to change.

Hyuga Clan Compound.

"Again?!"

The Hyuga Clan Members were a bit broken but they were getting used to it. This time, they were prepared but when the golden meteorite approached, they sensed something was wrong.

The terrifying pressure coming from that golden meteorite felt like an emperor with countless subjects standing behind him, filled with volatile fury.

The phrase "the Emperor's wrath" couldn't help but pop into their minds, as if the golden meteorite had turned into a golden dragon, roaring at them, about to bring down thunderous fury.

For a moment, the Hyuga Clan Members were shocked and terrified.
