(next week)
Whoa... I see a lot of improvement in me...
I'm sure I can get another Resonic Skill soon.
Uh, what did I receive on my terminal?
.
A feedback form on Leaders?
Hmm. Must be a regular check if leaders are doing their job nicely.
I'll fill it first, then get back to the trainees.
.
(meanwhile, somewhere in the dark alleys of Remiss City)
(noises of punching walls, chips coming out of it)
WALEED- (keeps punching the wall)
.
[BAIZHI- Lol, what personal matter? That looks more like a fatherless behaviour.]
.
WALEED- (another punch)
.
[BAIZHI- It's funny you call yourself masculine when your entire existence is just a stereotypical trope.]
.
WALEED- (another punch)
.
[BAIZHI- Now tell, whose more masculine huh?]
.
WALEED- (another punch)
.
[BAIZHI- Because ethics matters. Unlike you who thinks himself superior by bullying the weaks.]
.
WALEED- (last punch) Just wait, Baizhi... I am breaking every single thing about you which keeps you alive... Including the person you love... (evil smirk)
.
BAIZHI- (naps in his cabin)
KAE- (enters his cabin) Baizhi?
BAIZHI- (woke up suddenly) Huh- who was sleeping? I wasn't sleeping? I don't sleep when work-
KAE- Baizhi.
BAIZHI- (comes back to senses) Oh hi, Kae. What's up with that face?
KAE- I want to talk about something with you.
BAIZHI- Uh...
.
(at rooftop)
BAIZHI- Oh.
KAE- I feel like I am unable to handle this position. Ever since the feedback forms were rolled out, I have been realising all the mistakes I made so far...
BAIZHI- Why do you think like that?
KAE- I'm self-aware... Just look at Reposed and Omar. I'm very sure both of them have talked badly about me in the feedback form.
BAIZHI- As much as I know, Omar's response would be invalid since he was not under your leadership. Reposed on the other hand...
KAE- I don't know... I am trying my best, despite my declining health...
BAIZHI- Kae. I'm aware of it. And this is why I'm trying to take the majority of stuff off your shoulders so that you don't have to compromise your own health.
KAE- Thank you. I am glad you're with me.
BAIZHI- (holds her hand) Always. I'm always with you.
KAE- (smiles)
I won't give up on her. I know things can be improved between her and everyone in SP Force. I just need to make sure nothing bad happens.
.
(the next day)
BAIZHI- Huh? You sure?
REPOSED- Yeah, look. Waleed was secretly fired from SP Trainee.
BAIZHI- Is that... a bad thing?
REPOSED- Kind of. Since executives were unaware of that, it could be a problem for her.
BAIZHI- Oh no.
Just when I think things can't go any worse.
REPOSED- Honestly, never liked her, to be honest. She clearly reminds me of Astro, and I hate her more.
BAIZHI- Yeah, I always wanted to ask, why do people hate them?
REPOSED- Well... think of them as dictators. Strict checking, unrealistic quotas, and often say stuffs which hurts others. You should be grateful that you joined late. Because back then, that department was a living hell.
BAIZHI- I see...
REPOSED- Haven't you felt anything weird from Kae?
BAIZHI- I don't know. She never complained about me and my work. Maybe because I'm managing reports and not dealing with actual cases.
REPOSED- True. Case handling is not hard. But her requirements just make it a headache. And not to mention the harsh comments she makes, just like Astro.
Hearing all this about her makes me worried even more.
OMAR- Not gonna lie, Justice Department isn't gonna improve if Kae's still here. [NAME: OMAR, A POPULAR FIGURE, SP UNDER SERVICE DEPARTMENT, MASTERY 1 IN SOUL MOTION]
BAIZHI- (shocked with his sudden appearance)
REPOSED- YO OMAR!!
OMAR- REPOSED!!
(dabs each other)
OMAR- Gossiping about Kae and Astro and not inviting your brother? Very, very unfair.
REPOSED- Lol, it's not like that. Baizhi and I were just talking randomly, and somehow we reached this topic.
OMAR- I see. So, does Baizhi also hate her?
BAIZHI- What- no- I mean, I don't have any reason to hate her so far...
OMAR- Strange.
REPOSED- Not really, he's just doing well in report managing, so he's not giving her any chance of harsh comments.
OMAR- Hmm. But is he really getting satisfaction being under her leadership?
BAIZHI- So far... yes. I'm not being biased; I really haven't felt any issue under her lead.
OMAR- Perhaps because you're new. Lemme tell you something, it might look nice for now, but I can tell, it will be hell once you pass enough time.
BAIZHI- Uh...
REPOSED- Agreed. You see, I have been in the Justice Department for a year now. People in other departments who were SPs with me got promoted to SSP already. Astro and Kae both didn't promote me; they kept making harsh comments about me.
BAIZHI- Damn.
OMAR- I was glad to leave the department early. Trakktor is such a chill person, and the new leader is also very cool.
REPOSED- I know, right? She's the coolest leader after Trakktor.
OMAR- Way better than both of her.
I don't know why I'm getting upset hearing all this. I shouldn't be in a position to make any sort of judgment since I wasn't present during all this.
I'm just worried for her now... Even Mini was complaining about her the other day.
REPOSED- Oh wanna hear a funny thing? She chose a person in her recent trainees who has active violations for bullying xD
OMAR- LOL!!!!!! I heard about it, it's funny as hell to see that shit xD
BAIZHI- Guys, Imma go now. I'll catch up later.
REPOSED- No worries, buddy. Take care.
OMAR- And let us know if that Kae acts badly with you. We will help you.
BAIZHI- Thanks, guys. (walks away)
I need to control my overthinking. I wonder what Knight thinks about her.
.
(later in the afternoon)
KNIGHT- Well, her health has not good for a long time. So, she's already taking a lot of stress, I can't blame her at all.
BAIZHI- I'm aware. But I don't think Executives are gonna take it as a valid reason.
KNIGHT- If you're saying this because of her harsh judgments on SPs and the argument which happened behind our backs, then yeah, it's not a good sign.
BAIZHI- I just hope she's doing well.
KNIGHT- Also, please don't tell me you wrote some diabolical stuff in the feedback form about her thinking executives will like that.
BAIZHI- Huh?? No- I didn't. I filled the form completely unbiased.
KNIGHT- You sure? I have been seeing you a lot talking about her.
BAIZHI- The thing is, as much as I appreciate and care about her, there were some times where I was... upset too.
KNIGHT- What do you mean?
BAIZHI- During the week before feedback forms were rolled out, I was a little upset with her reactions. It's not like she act harsh with me, but her tone was... a little uncomfortable.
KNIGHT- Oh.
BAIZHI- I tried to bear it since it's not the first time anyway. I know she's acting like this out of stress. And I don't want her to stress that much.
KNIGHT- And this is why you took half of the responsibility for hers.
BAIZHI- Certainly.
KNIGHT- It's a good thing, but I'll be honest. After seeing the recent events, things aren't looking good for her.
BAIZHI- Right...
KNIGHT- At this point, I'll say to think a little less now regarding her and focus more on yourself. That emotional dependency on her is gonna affect you badly.
BAIZHI- I guess, yeah.
I can't deny the fact that I've been emotionally dependent on Kae for a while now... I need to do something...
.
(meanwhile, Kae is on her way back home)
KAE- (looking at her health check-up report) Hmm... things aren't looking bright for me. I don't know how I'm gonna do all this...
(someone blocks her way)
KAE- Uh...?
WALEED- Hello there.
