"Then, please rest well." Kuesumi waved her hands, and a hypnotic spell put Nia to sleep. She still had an important task to do: remove the control device installed in Nia's head.
This should have been dealt with earlier, but it was delayed due to being busy. However, it wasn't too late now. Removing this ticking time bomb quickly would bring peace of mind.
"Muku, go call Kurumi over." Kuesumi instructed Muku, who was deep in thought, waking her from her reverie. She nodded obediently and left the room. A short while later, Kurumi slowly walked up.
"May I ask, what do you need me for? Could it be that my dear is lonely?" Kuesumi gave the slightly crazy Kurumi an enchanting glare, then slowly explained the situation to her.
"Alright! I understand." Kurumi indicated she understood. Kuesumi then secured Nia to the bed and completely immersed herself in removing the magical device from Nia's mind. Time passed minute by minute. An hour later, Kuesumi wiped the cold sweat from her forehead, finally finished.
Kuesumi said to Kurumi, who was watching from the side: "It's your turn."
"Fourth Bullet (Dalet)" Without speaking, Kurumi directly summoned Zafkiel and reset Nia's time. Although it could heal the body, it couldn't remove foreign objects from it. This was why Kuesumi had Kurumi use the 'Fourth Bullet' after she finished Nia's surgery.
As for why she didn't use magic, Kuesumi said she was a bit tired after just completing a sterilization… ahem, surgery, so she let Kurumi do it.
"Once she wakes up, it will be the beginning of a new life. I hope this poor girl won't suffer any more calamities." After tucking Nia in, Kuesumi gently touched her forehead, offering a sincere blessing.
"Rest well, my dear. I won't be performing a night raid on you tonight." Kurumi's sudden change of heart startled Kuesumi. This girl certainly didn't act like this before; wasn't it her fault that she almost couldn't get out of bed that day? And don't make it sound like I'm desperate and lonely! You jerk.
"I have a phrase, 'Motherf***er, I don't know if I should say it or not.'" Kuesumi said to Kurumi, her face pale.
"Good night, my dear." Ignoring Kuesumi's displeased expression, Kurumi turned and slipped away.
Stretching, Kuesumi, feeling a bit tired, returned to her room, completely oblivious to the lump on the bed—Goldie curled up under the duvet.
The next morning
"Hmm, it seems my mental energy is quite depleted. It's no wonder it turned out this way. After all, I first went to the island to save Nia, then fought at the EDM Company, and then performed surgery on Nia. It's normal for mental energy to be depleted. But why is my body so heavy, and why do I have a tingling sensation in my chest, like I'm breastfeeding a child?" Thinking this, Kuesumi was startled awake from her semi-sleep. Looking down at the familiar golden hair, she was instantly dumbfounded.
"Wait, don't panic now. I should light a cigarette and calm down first."
"A cigarette, my foot! Is this a post-coital cigarette?" Rescuing her swollen little cherry from Muku's mouth, Kuesumi instantly changed into her clothes and vanished from the spot. She needed to go out and calm down.
"How nostalgic! It's been over three months since I left." After running out of her residence, Kuesumi returned to the Kabbalah Tree of Life. Looking at the giant tree roots, Kuesumi couldn't help but feel a bit nostalgic.
"Come out! I can already smell a living person." Kuesumi said, facing the back of the tree.
"Are you saying I still need to invite you?"
"Impressive perception, Thor." A mosaic figure emerged from behind the tree, but anyone familiar with this world knew what its appearance represented. Kuesumi's face instantly turned cold the moment she saw her.
"How could you be here? No wonder I couldn't find you no matter how hard I looked."
"Since I've been found, there's nothing for it. Well then, goodbye." Kuesumi, who had expected her to arrogantly attack and was preparing for a fight to vent, found that the other party simply ran away. That's right, she ran away directly, without even looking back.
"Stop right there! Let me beat you up and vent my anger."
Kuesumi, realizing what happened, immediately chased after it, but as she pursued, she discovered she had fallen into a trap.
"Where is this?"
The scene shifted, and Kuesumi, suddenly teleported, was instantly bewildered. The unfamiliar surroundings, coupled with the raging fires, made her feel a bit depressed. But a glance at the time on the large screen atop a building made Kuesumi instantly understand: she had traveled five years into the past.
"Is anyone there? Help me."
A very faint voice reached Kuesumi's ears. After pinpointing the exact location, Kuesumi quickly rushed to where the sound came from. She saw a tiny figure pinned under some wood, and Kuesumi's heart clenched. Isn't this Origami?
She quickly rescued the small girl from the rubble. After a brief check, finding no major issues, Kuesumi gave the child a quick treatment.
Just as Kuesumi was about to hand Origami over to a nearby hospital, a bullet suddenly flew towards the small Origami in her arms. Kuesumi nimbly dodged, holding Origami close.
"Who?"
She angrily shouted towards the direction of the attacker, but the person who emerged surprised Kuesumi: it was an adult Origami.
"Hand her over to me."
Why are you here? Why do you suddenly want to kill your younger self? What's wrong with you, Origami?
"She is something that shouldn't exist. Don't stop me."
Origami looked at her younger self (the small version) in Kuesumi's arms with hatred in her eyes. Today's events had shattered almost all her beliefs. She had always aimed to avenge her parents, but today, she discovered that she was the killer of her own parents. She now wished she could shoot herself and die immediately, but before that, she had to kill her younger self.
Originally, Origami had gone to buy some daily necessities today, but unexpectedly, she discovered a very dangerous entity, like a pile of mosaic. Without much thought, she applied for deployment, armed with the latest and most powerful Manifestation Equipment, whose firepower was absolutely off the charts. She and her teammates surrounded the mosaic, but as they fought, it tried to escape. Origami, ignoring her captain's orders, also gave chase, following it to an unfamiliar place. However, eliminating this unknown entity was still the top priority.
Origami unleashed her full firepower on the mosaic. When Origami noticed the anomaly in time and the unusual flames, she caught sight of a familiar family of three, and a stray bullet was heading straight for them.
Origami prayed like this, hoping for a miracle, but: "No!"
No miracle occurred. She finally knew the truth: she was the real murderer of her parents. At this moment, Kuesumi also arrived. Origami watched Kuesumi's arrival from afar. Kuesumi rescued her (younger self) from the rubble, and she couldn't help but pull out her pistol and aim it at herself.
