Chapter 9 - Chapter 09 : Shadow Emperor’s Wrath

Li Feng was no longer the boy who had once knelt in the dirt, bleeding and abandoned at the gates of his sect.

Within the Demon Clan, his name was spoken with fear and reverence alike.

Shadow Emperor.

A title earned through blood, silence, and absolute power. Beneath the Demon Lord Mo Zhu himself, Li Feng stood alone—unquestioned, unmatched. Demons bowed when he passed, not out of obligation, but instinct. His presence carried an oppressive weight, like a shadow cast over the soul.

One day, fate delivered him an opportunity.

A group of Heavenly Sect cultivators entered a secret realm, confident and arrogant, believing the demon lands to be far away. They laughed, spoke of treasures, of glory—unaware that death had already surrounded them.

From the darkness, Li Feng watched.

With a single gesture, demon soldiers emerged, sealing every exit. Panic erupted instantly.

"W-who are you?!"

one cultivator shouted.

A figure stepped forward, cloaked in shadow, obsidian mask gleaming faintly.

"The one you should never have encountered,"

Li Feng replied calmly.

There was no prolonged battle. No mercy. His sword moved like a whisper through the air, shadows devouring light. Cultivators fell one after another, their cultivation drained, their screams swallowed by darkness.

When it was over, silence returned.

Not a single soul survived.

"This is only the beginning," Li Feng murmured.

His next destination was far more personal.

The Li Residence.

Standing before the familiar gates, memories flooded his mind—mockery, neglect, betrayal. He stepped inside with his demon soldiers, blood staining the stone floors within moments.

His father trembled when he appeared.

"Shadow Emperor…" the old man stammered, voice shaking.

"We… we never wronged you. Why… why do this? Did my son—did Li Feng commit some unforgivable sin?"

Those words pierced deeper than any blade.

Even now… he believes I was the one at fault.

Li Feng felt something twist violently in his chest—rage mixed with bitter sorrow. His father's blindness, Li Wei's favoritism, the countless times he had been ignored… all of it surged forth.

"You never wronged me?" Li Feng repeated softly.

With a flick of his hand, screams erupted around them. One by one, members of the Li family were slaughtered—those who had laughed at him, used him, discarded him. Blood soaked the ground like spilled ink.

Li Feng deliberately spared only two.

His father.

Li Wei.

Their knees buckled as they watched the massacre unfold.

Then—slowly—Li Feng lifted his mask.

The moment his face was revealed, the world shattered for them.

"L-Li Feng…?" his father whispered, eyes wide with horror.

Li Wei collapsed completely, terror flooding his face.

"B-big brother… no… this can't be…"

Fear—pure, raw fear—filled their eyes.

And Li Feng felt it.

That dark, forbidden satisfaction. The pleasure of being seen at last. The joy of witnessing the terror of those who had once treated him as nothing.

Behind him, even the Demon Lord observed silently… and approved.

"Now you see," Li Feng said coldly.

"The son you abandoned. The brother you crushed."

His father fell forward, tears streaming.

"Forgive us… please… we were wrong…"

But forgiveness had died long ago.

"Too late,"

Li Feng replied.

In a single motion, he ended them both.

As their bodies hit the ground, Li Feng replaced his mask, his expression once more hidden beneath shadow.

His revenge was complete.

And the Shadow Emperor walked away—leaving behind nothing but silence, blood, and a past that would never haunt him again.
