Chapter 4 - The start of a new life

Dean's state of confusion was at its peak. The undergoing phenomenon that he was experiencing didn't sit right with him for several reasons.

When a celestial energy, came in contact with a demon, the energy reacted negatively, destroying the demon inside out, killing them instantly. The same occurence also happened to a celestial when they came in contact with a demonic energy.

The two entities were of an opposing nature, seemingly trying to destroy the other by any means possible.

But staring directly at the contents of his core, Dean could clearly see that the empty portion of his core had been filled up with celestial energy.

Instead of reacting negativity towards Dean, killing him, the celestial energy merged with the emptiness and void of his core, making it whole.

Dean's core wasn't at any stage, so it was very small compared to other progressive demons. The core was only capable of housing a minimal amount of internal energy, and this was the reason as to why some of the celestial energy didn't go directly into his core.

Basically, the core tank was full, reaching maximum capacity.

This was why the remnants of the celestial energy stayed in his system instead of heading into the core.

"So what does this mean for me?" Dean thought.

He slowly started to understand why he felt the celestial energy eating away at his organs.

"Does that mean that I have to train hard, expanding the size of my core to be able to contain more energy?"

"Based on my understanding, if my core expands, it should automatically absorb the residue celestial energy, and the pain and burns should stop."

Everything felt surreal for Dean. Dean was already a special and rare case of possessing an incomplete demonic core from birth.

It got even more strange as the celestial energy that was supposed to kill him instantly, merged with him, filling up the space that made him core incomplete.

This meant that Dean could cultivate, growing stronger in time, and being able to increase his demonic rank.

With two separate energies in his core, Dean was neither, demon, nor a celestial.

He was both, a Demonic Celestial.

Dean proceeded to focus on other sections of his body. He could see white lines of energy raging through his body. The energy seemed to cause a negative effect on him, eating away at his organs, threatening to kill him.

But something else healed him simultaneously. Flowing directly from his core were several waves of red energy that spread out, crossing every section of his body. The energy stayed, not directly trying to counteract the white energy, but it stayed, healing the damages caused.

This left a constant damage and healing process in Dean's body.

"I may now possess a celestial energy in my core, but I am still a demon. The celestial energy will always try to eat away at my being till I'm dead… I have to find a way to expand my core as soon as possible."

Dean decided to put the celestial energy test. He now had the energy in his core, meaning that he could harness it, channeling it to formulate into an attack.

He focused deeply on the pure, violent ethereal energy that made up a large portion of his core.

He could feel the celestial energy, ready to be tampered with. He felt the pure, godly, and divine essence that the energy emitted, opposing his dark, and tainted nature.

Wether the demons admitted it or not, the knew that they were filled with darkness, like their existence was a flaw in the divinity of the universe.

Dean felt the celestial energy raging about, waiting to be called upon. He harnessed it, pulling the energy out of his core. The energy swirled in a rotational pattern, making it's way from his chest to his palms.

Unlike the residue celestial energy that threatened to destroy his innards, the energy that came directly from his core didn't hurt him in the slightest. It merged perfectly with his demonic nature, moving in accordance to his will.

Dean felt the energy course through his body. He could feel the raw energy hovering atop his palm. The power, felt pure, divine. He was mesmerized by the potency of the energy, it burned brightly.

"Is this what a celestial energy feels like?" Dean thought in awe.

"It feels so… pure."

Dean felt connected to the raw energy. He didn't feel any negativity of sorts, and it was due to the fact that the celestial energy had already merged with his core, blending with its demonic traits.

But Dean had to remind himself that what he possessed inside him was a celestial energy, an energy that was the direct opposition of the demonic race. He had to keep the energy hidden, surpressed, and sealed away.

If anyone ever found out about the celestial energy that raged in his core, he was going to be killed on the spot.

Dean opened his eyes, bringing him back to the real world. He reached out for his pocket, pulling out the letter from the institution of demonic arts.

Originally, he felt reluctant about heading over to the institution due to his birth defect.

But now, it had been corrected. Maybe there was a chance for him to grow stronger, cultivate, increase his demonic rank, and help his race in the potential war to come.

It was going to be a long, agonizing and painful, but he was determined to get through it.

Without giving it much thought, Dean proceeded to pack his things, whatever he needed to survive in the institution. He took the necessary items, leaving the rest behind.

He left his home, taking the nearest transport to the institution of demonic arts. He didn't leave a note for his mother, trying to explain his sudden disappearance.

He just left.

After all, his own family didn't care about him to begin with.

Dean was about to start a new journey with one goal — becoming a high ranking demon… or a demonic celestial. It was going to be filled with challenges, pain, and setbacks.

But Dean was ready for the life ahead of him.

The life of a demonic celestial.
