Chapter 49 - Chapter 49: The Sixth Titan — Whale Falcon, the Devourer of Skies

The world trembled.

Not just the ruined city.

Not just the battlefield.

Across oceans and mountains, across deserts and forests, every Titan host felt the same thing at once—

A door opening.

Inside Harold's mindscape, the sixth gate groaned as ancient locks shattered.

The sound was not loud.

But it carried the weight of something primordial.

The Monkey King stopped spinning his staff.

"…Oh."

The Devourer's ocean stilled completely.

The Sovereign Colossus lowered its molten gaze.

Unity dimmed slightly in reverence.

Even the Counter-Sovereign watched silently.

The door slowly opened.

Beyond it was not fire.

Not water.

Not earth.

Not lightning.

Sky.

An endless sky filled with roaring wind and infinite depth.

And then—

A shadow passed overhead.

Harold looked up.

Something massive circled above the sky ocean.

Wings larger than continents.

A body like a cosmic whale.

A beak sharp enough to tear storms apart.

A Titan that ruled both sky and abyss.

The Whale Falcon, the Devourer of Skies.

It descended slowly, each flap of its wings creating hurricanes within the mindscape.

The Monkey King laughed in disbelief.

"You've got to be kidding me."

The Devourer whispered quietly.

"A predator above oceans."

The Sovereign Colossus rumbled.

"An apex of sky."

Unity radiated softly.

"Balance between air and void."

The Whale Falcon's enormous eye turned toward Harold.

Then—

It spoke.

Not with words.

With wind.

"You call for power."

Harold stood firm.

"I call for balance."

The Whale Falcon circled him once.

The pressure of its presence could crush mountains.

"The devourer outside seeks singularity."

Harold nodded.

"Yes."

The Titan's wings spread.

The entire mindscape shook.

"Then let the sky devour the devourer."

The Titan plunged toward Harold.

Light exploded.

The sixth awakening completed.

Back in the Real World

Storm and Frost were barely holding the battlefield together.

The devouring Titan rampaged through the ruins, growing stronger with every second.

Firestorms spread across half the city.

Lightning shattered skyscrapers.

Darkness swallowed entire blocks.

Storm screamed as she was thrown through a building.

Frost barely blocked a crushing claw with a wall of ice.

"This thing won't stop!"

The devouring host laughed.

"You're delaying the inevitable!"

Then—

The wind stopped.

The clouds vanished.

The sky went silent.

Everyone froze.

The devouring Titan looked up.

"…What?"

Above the ruined city—

The atmosphere twisted.

A massive vortex formed in the heavens.

Something enormous moved inside it.

Storm's eyes widened slowly.

"…No way."

Frost stepped back.

"…Impossible."

The devouring host frowned.

"What trick is this?"

Then the vortex exploded.

A colossal wing burst through the clouds.

Wind pressure flattened entire districts.

Then the full Titan emerged.

The Whale Falcon.

A creature so massive it blotted out the sky.

Its wings stretched for kilometers.

Its body shimmered between sky-blue and abyssal black.

Storm whispered breathlessly.

"That… is bigger than every Titan I've seen."

Frost nodded once.

"A primordial apex."

The devouring host's smile slowly disappeared.

His Titan growled uncertainly.

Because for the first time—

It faced something larger.

Harold hovered in the air beneath the Whale Falcon.

Six Pillars now burned behind him.

Monkey King.

Devourer.

Sovereign Colossus.

Unity.

Counter-Sovereign.

And now—

Whale Falcon.

Wind spiraled around Harold like a hurricane crown.

The devouring host stared.

"You… awakened another Titan mid-battle?"

Harold's voice echoed calmly across the battlefield.

"You said you were evolving."

The Whale Falcon screeched.

The sound shattered windows across the city.

"Now we are."

The devouring Titan roared and charged.

But the Whale Falcon moved first.

Its wings beat once.

A hurricane slammed into the monster.

The devouring Titan was blasted across the city like a ragdoll.

The devouring host's eyes widened.

"…What?!"

The Monkey King laughed wildly inside Harold's mind.

"Oh this is GREAT!"

The Devourer roared.

"Sky predator confirmed."

The Sovereign Colossus rumbled.

"Battlefield advantage."

Unity glowed brighter.

"Balance restored."

The Counter-Sovereign whispered.

"Now the outcome changes."

The devouring Titan climbed out of the rubble, enraged.

Fire and lightning exploded across its body again.

"You think one more Titan changes anything?!"

Harold raised his hand.

The Whale Falcon's wings spread again.

Wind currents bent reality.

The devouring Titan suddenly lifted off the ground—

Not flying.

Being pulled.

Dragged upward by impossible air pressure.

The devouring host panicked.

"Impossible!"

The Whale Falcon opened its enormous beak.

A vortex of wind formed.

A sky-devouring cyclone.

The Devourer whispered excitedly.

"Atmospheric consumption."

The Monkey King grinned.

"Oh he's getting eaten."

Storm blinked in disbelief.

"…Is that Titan about to swallow another Titan?"

Frost answered calmly.

"Yes."

The devouring Titan struggled violently inside the wind vortex.

But the Whale Falcon ruled the sky.

The cyclone pulled harder.

Stronger.

Faster.

The devouring host screamed.

"No!"

Harold's aura burned brighter.

Six Titans aligned behind him.

"This ends now."

The Whale Falcon inhaled.

The vortex intensified into a planetary hurricane.

The devouring Titan was lifted fully into the sky—

Pulled directly toward the Whale Falcon's beak.

For the first time—

The devouring host looked afraid.

Above the battlefield—

The True Sovereign watched silently.

Because something unprecedented was happening.

A devouring predator…

Was about to be devoured.

And if Harold succeeded—

The balance of the entire trial would shift again.

The Whale Falcon's beak opened wider.

The hurricane roared louder.

And the devouring Titan screamed as it was dragged closer…

Closer…

Closer…
