"Mira. I'm done."
"...eh…? EH?!"
So he declared while standing up and reaching out to Mira's head, turning her face towards himself, causing her to let out a shocked voice.
"R-Rotsard…! You cannot stop circulating the potion before it will properly settle!"
Mira cried out, close to panic.
"Already finished."
"N-no! It's too soon! A potion of that level cannot properly nurture the body and mana circuit in such a short time!"
Rotsard repeated himself, but Mira cried out in distress while checking the hour.
The bleached-blond-haired boy furrowed his brows while touching his chest.
The pain has lessen and it almost felt as if his insides were coated in a thin layer of some sort of soothing substance.
The injury did not disappear, but there was a definitive difference between before and after.
Not to mention that no trace of foreign mana remained within him, therefore, there was nothing to circulate anymore.
"It's because of this trick of mine. It makes it so I can complete the full circle almost instantaneously. I mean, I'm not healed, but I guess the treatment for today is complete."
"..."
He assured the girl, but she looked unconvinced.
It wasn't like she doubted him, but… she wasn't willing to risk his health.
"That said. The treatment should be repeated. While we're at it, I wanted to ask you whether it would be possible for you to find some time for me."
"...p-pardon…?"
Rotsard decided to change the subject, and his attempt worked perfectly as Mira's eyes widened while she gasped.
"You're the only person I can ask for a proper tutoring. On… well… every subject, I suppose. I have a reason to believe that the evaluation methods of the Royal Academy will change, and I can't allow myself to fall behind anymore."
The boy explained with a wry smile while the black-haired girl was staring at him without as much as blinking.
Mira blanked out, completely.
To the point of breaking her focus and stopping coating Rotsard's body with her mana.
Following what Rotsard assumed to be her example, he stopped the phenomenon, and the light show in the hallway disappeared as if it never happened.
"...you… You mean that we will be around each other… every day…? With… with an appropriate reason that we can use as an excuse…?"
Mira's mind full-on spirnted into a rather… specific direction, and her face flushed crimson, but her clothes properly hid it.
"I'm taking it as a yes~"
Rotsard smiled as he returned the empty frosted vial to Mira.
"Would it be too much if I asked you to come pick me up for those tutoring sessions until the end of the winter break? You can bring the potion, and I can have the treatment before going for the tutoring session. How does that sound?"
"Y-yes! It sounds amazing!"
The boy tilted his head to the side slightly and asked all coy, grinning once the girl called out in almost feverish exasperation.
The rest of the winter break passed without any issues.
And…
