Chapter 1 :New student, first day?
Anola's POV.
I was restless, wondering if I could still be the bold and popular girl that all of Cain's High know.l was still thinking about the last time I was in the school and the last time I kinda met Denzel,I mean I didn't mean to punch him obviously, but that brat needs a hidding.ohhh and if you don't know who Denzel is, let's just call him a freak,brat,ohhh you can just call him ever you want,but I call him a anoyying brat because we are not friends, besties or classmates we are actually rivals, yup you heard that right "RIVALS".We've hated each other since our first year in highschool because he always,he always arghhhhh"ANNOYING" before I new it I was screaming that at the top of my lungs.arghh how embarrassing right, but who cares I'm popular I should be known of being loud and dramatic 😭😅 right?.As I walked past the classrooms as I could hear the students whispers "hey look! It's anola" and others even whispered "isn't she supposed to be transferred?" but the best whispers came from the classroom opposite mine "hey that's Denzel's rival" .I mean yeah obviously I punched him duhh .As I entered the class I saw my friends, they were already waving at me and motioning for me to come sit with them.As I took my sit I was greeted by my besties which are Taya,Mia and Angela but before I could speak, Taya suddenly blurted out "gurlllss I heard that we have a new student" and before I could even say a word , Mia blurted out"I also heard it's Denzel. that's gonna be the new student" but before I knew it they were all staring at me grinning "puff as if ,there is no way Denzel is returning.He literally just transferred" I said laughing in disbelief, but they were just staring seriously so I knew it could be true.Then Angela said "uhmmmm guys? the teacher just told us that we'll have a new a student " we all paused but I stood up instantly heading to the teachers table. They were obviously calling me but I ignored it because I new if that brat comes he's definitely gonna get me for punching him😒.I know you guys are probably thinking Anola why did you punch him? But it's because he insulted my volleyball skills, how rude right?.but besides it wasn't that bad only a nosebleed hehe 😅 but before I reached the table the teacher came so I had to return to my seat as I'm walking back to my seat madam said "do you all still remember DENZEL" I froze as I turned back to see that brat standing in front of the class.arghhhhhhhhhhhh I screamed in my head. I don't know if my thoughts were heard I felt like they heard it .hehe I'll just clam down 😭😒.
Denzel's POV.
As I entered the class I smirked as I saw my one and only female rival .I know you guys are like so what?, but I find her different because all the girls are kind of either has a crush on me but Anola is just different . Before I new it l was already smirking like an idiot.Then the teacher told me to take a seat because it looked like they already knew me so I did as teacher told.As I was finding a seat,I eyed the seat next to Anola without hesitation I sat there,I could already feel her glaring at me but I don't know why ? , but I just smiled at myself.When the class started I wasn't paying attention I just slept ,I mean I'm not in the mood for studying right now so why not rest🥱.
Anola's POV.
As he was standing next to Mrs Selas,I could see him smirking what a jerk I thought to myself,but my blood boiled as he chose the seat next to me and his smirk was even wider as he sat down,arghhhh if only I could smash that smirk off his face.when the class started I glanced at him but his a sleep "The ordarcity " I whispered to myself barely loud enough.As the bell rang for recess I jumped out of my seat excited to leave the class because of that jerk but I think I jumped to hard accidentally hiting that brat who was now wide awake because of my clumsiness but who cares he deserves it though.before I knew it he was staring at me annoyed but all he just said was "ohh it's you" he said irritated.ohhh I felt like screaming at him but I just glared at him irritatly before eventually leaving, I was in no mood for an argument with that brat so I just turned away like i needed somewhere more important to go to.
Taya's POV.
As I watched Anola left I couldn't help but feel sorry for her. I know deep down she doesn't really hate Denzel but she uses it as an excuse,I know she's facing alot but she continues to hide it.To be honest I think she's just tired of her life because being popular and bold isn't the Anola I know.The Anola I know is kind and courageous she's just tougher now because she doesn't want to be seen as weak like before.It happened when we were still in middle school,Anola was not always popular but she was bold she would always protect her loved ones and the people that meant alot to her and that's one the reasons she became my best friend because she was always there for me when I needed her.When I and Anola was in middle school Denzel was actually one of her closest childhood friend he was actually her friend before me but everything changed when Denzel said he was leaving but Anola never believed him but one day Anola never came to school so I decided to visit her.As I came to her house her foster parents obviously didn't know where she was and I guess they didn't care of where she was but luckily I remembered our hideout spot so I went there I remember running really fast to the hideout and as reached still trying to catch my breath I saw her sitting under the giant mango tree doing nothing but staring at the sky ,she was still wearing her bright blue uniform.As I approached her she suddenly spoke. "He left🥺" her voice breaking as she tried to speak properly.i didn't say a word I just comforted her because I knew Denzel meant alot to her ,I knew she also had a crush on him but now she won't be able to confess to him. Then she looked at me eyes filled with mixed emotions than she suddenly blurted out "I will wait for him" but that only made her burst out crying that she kept hitting the tree with her fist,Anola waited for a long time but one day she eventually gave up and Anola was never the same again she even made Denzel her rival but little did she know was that Denzel got in accident not long after he left her making him loose most of his memories.Thats why he couldn't remember Anola when he transferred to our school last year and that broke Anola's heart that's why she became cold because she didn't know what happened to him but Denzel is also a bad boy that's why he didn't hesitate to become cold to her too.so that's why I know behind the anger of Anola towards Denzel she actually misses him.
