Chapter 3 - Is he Reborn?

Yang Yang walked through the small familiar hallway. Even after many years and being Reborn, she could clearly remember every nook and cranny of this house. After walking, she stopped at a door at the darker end of the hallway that seemed uninhabited.

She held the door knob, taking deep breaths before turning it. With a little squeak, the door began to creak open. Yang Yang walked in, slowly taking in the structure and contents of the room.

It was the same as before. No change. The same little old table she had saved up to buy for her reading sat by the left side of the room. In her past life, she had successfully hidden it for some time as none of her tormentors bothered entering into her room. But then one day Shujia had entered for some reason, and upon seeing the table, she broke it claiming it was too much luxury for her. Even now, she could still clearly feel the emotions of watching something she worked being destroyed.

She turned her eyes from the table to her broken wardrobe. Her spare cloths layed inside there. She sighed tiredly. If she really wanted to change and live this hell, there were many things she needed to work on.

Her eyes shifted to the last furniture in the room as she began to walk towards it. Her bed. The little bed that her aunt had been kind enough to let her have. She slumped tiredly on it, her eyes feeling heavy. She could not tell if it was due to the strenuous work of her new life, or from the reincarnation, but she felt unusually extremely tired.

As she began to drift off, the events of the day began to play in her head. Something was very wrong, but it was very pitiful as she could not tell what exactly. Why was Biyu Li changing?. In her past life she would be smug and show her true self. There was barely ever a time when she acted like a white lotus.

But now today she was extremly quiet, even tried scolding her younger sister for mocking her. Could they have been little a change in Biyu Lin's script in her new life?. Whatever it was, she was sure it was not good. It never could be.

She was worried, but for Now, she just needed to rest and figure out how take back what is rightfully hers. Her parents assets in her aunt's hold. It would not be easy and that was why she needed help.

With this in mind, she suddenly remembered, she reached under her pillow and drew out a little laptop. It was one of those things she had bought and had to hide for fear of it being destroyed by her terrorists.

She began to type away, attempting to make a call. The call connected after a few rings.

A man's cold and deep voice came from the other side.

"Are you still interested in the deal?" He asked. His voice made Yang Yang shiver subconsciously.

"Yes.. Yes I am"

"That's good, I will send the address to you Now." With that the call disconnected.

"Wait..." Yang Yang tried to stop him from ending the call. In her past life she remembered that she was not comfortable with the terms of the agreement. She needed to talk it over with them again.

She sighed in frustration, flopped back in her bed again and closed her eyes.

She began to drift off when suddenly a loud noise reverberated through the house.

"The young master is here."

She knew that sound all too well. He had come to pay them a visit. Why had he come?. In the past he had never paid such a visit. Could her first day of being Reborn be any more bad?.

There was a soft knock on her door and it creaked open even more softly. A familiar voice called her name gently. Yang Yang was startled as she looked at Biyu's face in shock.

"Yang Yang." She said. "The young master has just arrived and every member of this family is expected to go and welcome him."

Yang Yang scoffed. No matter the reason for her fake kindness, she would never lower her guard in front of anyone, not even her.

"Member of the family?" She asked, an eyebrow raised. "Till now, I never knew I was a member of this family. And I personally do not think there is any reason to go welcome your husband. It is not worth risking my hair."

Listening to her, Biyu's smile grew even wider. "Sister, don't say that. I believe you would not seduce my husband. I even doubt you have such taste. Now if you don't mind you can borrow any of my cloths and let's go welcome the young master."

"Your cloths?" Yang Yang scoffed mockingly. She was no longer the girl that used to beg for Biyu's old cloths. "If I decide to welcome your husband, I would not bother wearing your cloths."

Biyu smiled happily again. "Okay sister then let's go." She held out her hand.

Yang Yang ignored her, stood up directly and walked out of the room. Her heart raced uncontrollably.

Although she had decided not fear anyone in this life, it was still very difficult. First, she had lived her entire past life in fear. Fear of provoking her aunt and cousins. Second, who would not be scared of the ruler of not just her city, but the whole of the country?.

She was no exception. She was frightened. There was obviously no need for him to come visiting, but he did. And the plot of this life was changing. With what she knew of reincarnation if she was the only one reincarnated, then it was pretty unusual.

Who else could have also been Reborn?. Her eyes popped out as her brain made a guess. No. It could not be. How could he be Reborn?. If so, she was in a lot of trouble. He had seen her stab his wife in his past life, he would surely not let her go.

But if not, why then did he decide to visit them like these?.
