The whole of Kinerik seemed to have come to a halt.
Quiet and slow.
The blurred streaks that once raced pasted her, in her eyes moved stiff and slow.
With a single step, she shook the entire of the city. A stride created winds strong enough to send the Kinerikan around them stumbling before being swept away.
In a breath she felt the air thin in her lungs, burning with an instance and sharp pain. Her vision blurred in and out of haze. She felt the heat burning through every cell, every fiber, every breath of her.
Her body going to give out soon and she knew it but…
*Boom!!!*
She jet off, moving like a beam of light streaking past the city on the forest that laid beyond. Past the fields and trees she ran, and she ran until she finally reached a beach.
Seeing the shoreline lay before and ahead of her a vast blue sea, she didn't hesitate and refused to slow down.
Her feet struck the water and sent ripples through before propelling her forward with massive burst. She moved through the water rapidly, one step at a time. Moving faster and faster with each step.
She felt the cold sea air blow against, heat up and burn her lungs. Her body shone with bright blaze and yet.
"Hooooo!!!!!"
She screamed and yelled at the top of her lungs, enjoy every bit of rush and burn she felt tearing through her with each step she took.
She was so in gross with the rush that she failed to notice a streak following from behind and catching up to her quick.
She then took another step on to the water and then…
Something struck her back and then everything went cold.
Rushina felt steamed dense breath leave her lips, recognizing the frost taking over and freezing in place. It was the one she felt in the cell, the same cold that struck her down that night everything came crashing down.
That icy cold that froze her completely, leaving her a shivering mess on that ice cold cell floor.
That cold that froze her feet and prevent her from running.
"No, I can't go back"
Rushina gritted her teeth.
"Slugha"
She heard their cries, their yells, their mocks and insult.
"Slugha"
Again and again and again. Growing louder and louder.
"I…"
She let out a soft weak breath
"Rushina, please"
Her eyes sunk down.
"…won't"
She then forced her feet to strike the water once more and continued her run.
The figure behind continued chasing after her and kept striking over and over with freezing pellets. And each time she endured the cold and kept moving forward. Refusing to slow down or turn back.
Eventually the figure made it to her side. It was the Reacher, the exact same one that arrest her last time.
"Stop this, if you continue running this far you'll combust," he yelled at her.
Rushina then turned to him. Tears racing own her eyes before being carried away by the wind.
The Reacher seeing the tears on her eyes, paused for only a second and that was enough time Rushina to race past him. Moving ahead with thunderous burst of speed and leaving the Reacher far behind.
Rushina kept running even though the air was basically fire in her long and her body was slowly tearing itself apart, she kept running and running.
Eventually she reached the eastern continent.
She moved far faster than the wind. And each step she took rocked the ground. Her body glowed like a star as darted through Hastia, the capital city of the eastern continent and continued running in to its neighboring provinces and kept running. Increasing her speed with each step until eventually with just a stride she left the continent. And then, in just two step she circled around the entirety of Kinerik.
And then.
She looked up to the sky and took a leap. She jetting herself of solid ground, moving so fast that she reached the boundaries of the sky itself.
And for a moment time came to a complete halt and saw, while laying suspended in midair, the stars that rested beyond Kinerik. Each twinkling and sparkling like diamonds and crystals in vast endless expanse of space.
A smile then cut across her face.
"What a way to go," were the final and last words to leave Rushina's lips before…
*BOOM!!!!*
A bright flash of light engulf the Kinerikan sky, causing every Kinerikan who witnessed it to come to a fall halt and look up to the sky in reverence, awe, shock, and confusion.
Zoomie seeing the light in the sky, shed a tears.
"Rushina," she cried softly, knowing that her friend and the one she loved the most and ran full speed. To a destination she could not reach, leaving her behind.
