Chapter 10 - Chapter 10: After a Little Thought, I, Ino, Created a Badass Ninjutsu

After Ino taught Inoichi Yamanaka and Mrs. Yamanaka the "Secret Transformation Technique," Inoichi felt a stir in his heart and wanted to teach Ino the Clone Jutsu and Substitution Jutsu respectively.

"Ino, since you've already learned the Transformation Jutsu, Daddy will teach you the Clone Jutsu and Substitution Jutsu as well... Watch closely."

Inoichi Yamanaka formed the hand signs for the Clone Jutsu at a speed that wasn't very fast, but not particularly slow either—when forming signs and releasing Ninjutsu, there's a certain speed requirement for the signs. They can be fast, as fast as possible, but they absolutely cannot be slow—if the time taken to form a single sign exceeds nearly three seconds, the Ninjutsu won't activate—however, the Clone Jutsu only consists of three signs.

"Ram—Snake—Tiger!"

Another Inoichi Yamanaka appeared beside the original, mirroring his movements and looking at Ino gently.

A wise light of contemplation flickered in Ino's deep blue eyes as she deconstructed the "Clone Jutsu" through these three hand signs—

The meaning of the "Ram" sign was very clear: it caused Chakra to spread over the body's surface to create a transformation. "Snake" and "Tiger" were less certain, but based on the effects of the Clone Jutsu, she could infer a few things.

"Snake" should be a way to vibrate the Spleen Meridian of Foot-Taiyin to generate another burst of Chakra, providing a temporary support for the form created by "Ram"—it's like blowing up a balloon; "Ram" is the balloon's membrane, and "Snake" is the air inside the balloon.

"Tiger"—the Lung Meridian of Hand-Taiyin.

The Chakra generated by the "Tiger" sign would repel the images formed by "Ram" and "Snake" out of the body, thus creating a clone... Ino felt that she had "theoretically" understood the "Clone Jutsu," and many more interesting ideas suddenly popped into her head.

"Daddy, try removing the Tiger sign and see what happens!" Ino shared one idea with Inoichi and added another, "Pay attention to the frequency of these two signs. Make the Ram sign more refined, and the Snake sign more violent and urgent... Um..." Ino was so focused on explaining her ideas that she accidentally forgot to act cute.

"What happens if the Tiger sign is removed?"

According to traditional views—where Ninjutsu is a means of mobilizing Chakra with the help of hand signs—and relevant training manuals, if a Ninjutsu loses its final sign, it cannot be released.

But since these words came from his genius daughter, it was somewhat unusual. Inoichi pondered and asked, "Violent and urgent... this is a bit hard to understand."

Ino said, "It means being unreasonable and rampaging. It's like when you're blowing up a balloon—don't blow carefully breath by breath, and don't worry about the balloon popping. Just send it all in at once with one breath and see..."

"Hmm."

Inoichi mulled it over for a moment and then began to form the signs as Ino had described.

The first time he formed the signs, nothing happened.

Then the second time... the third time... failure after failure. However, there wasn't a trace of frustration on Inoichi's face. This kind of repeated failure was the norm for every Ninja since their youth while learning hand signs and practicing Ninjutsu—forget ten or twenty failures; even if one tried hundreds or a thousand times without releasing the Ninjutsu, it was perfectly normal.

This kind of "failure" was the "norm"—by contrast, Ino had learned the twelve signs on her own and, through her own research, created an indescribable Transformation Jutsu; she was simply an "anomaly."

On the seventeenth attempt, finally... Pop!

A rather distinct explosion sounded, followed by a flash of light as bright as the sun that erupted from Inoichi's body in an instant.

Everything before Ino and Mrs. Yamanaka's eyes turned pure white. They were completely blinded for a good while before their vision gradually returned.

This... "It worked!"

Ino snapped out of it and pumped her small fist excitedly.

Inoichi was also inexplicably astonished... "This kind of intense light Ninjutsu..."

As a Jonin—even if he was an intelligence Ninja who prioritized information retrieval and analysis over combat—he was still a Jonin. Thus, Inoichi understood very well how terrifying such an intense light Ninjutsu could be—and it only required two signs! And a Ninjutsu with only two signs was... born just like that?

A strong thought suddenly surged in his mind: "Does our Yamanaka Clan also need a Scroll of Seals?"

Otherwise, with one Secret Technique today and another tomorrow... heaven knows how many more things his daughter could create.

Hmm... his precious daughter must also have personal bodyguards for protection. Such a genius must be allocated more resources.

As the Clan Head, Inoichi felt it was necessary to hold a "Clan Meeting." He realized even more clearly what kind of changes Ino would bring to the Yamanaka Clan—previously, the Yamanaka Clan could only work in tandem with the Nara and Akimichi families. In the future, perhaps the Yamanaka Clan could stand on its own. Relying on the family's heritage, they could possess a status comparable to the Uchiha or Hyuga—not a status brought by power and influence, but one brought by their own strength.

Ino sighed and said, "It's practically blinding my titanium dog eyes..." Seeing Mrs. Yamanaka shoot her a sharp look, she quickly pivoted back to the main topic.

"When we perform the Transformation Jutsu, we can see the transformed state, right? In the transformed state, the colors and shapes we see aren't our original ones, but what we've changed into. What does that tell us?"

Ino began to "highlight the key points" for her two adult students. This sentence had actually already pointed to the answer—

That is, if Inoichi and Mrs. Yamanaka hadn't already returned the basic principles of optics they learned at the Ninja Academy to their teachers.

Unfortunately!

Ninjas generally didn't care to learn the "principles" of things; they preferred various Ninjutsu—even the teachers at the Academy just read from the books without fully understanding them. Perhaps after an entire class, they themselves wouldn't understand what they had said.

So Inoichi and Mrs. Yamanaka both looked at Ino with extremely bewildered expressions.

Ino was speechless... "Because this proves that Chakra is releasing various colors of light, just like a television. Once it's turned on, we can see all kinds of colors inside. So, what happens when these lights suddenly become chaotic and explode?"

"The mixing of light creates a patch of white, just like the white light of the sun. When it explodes, a person's eyes will be momentarily blinded by the glare..."

... "Oh, so that's how it is."

Inoichi and Mrs. Yamanaka had looks of sudden realization, masking their slight embarrassment at being "poor students"!

To think they were actually being educated by a four-year-old brat.
