Chapter 53 - Chapter 53: Reinforcements Arrive 18+

"Boss, it's bad!" A thug rushed in, stammering nervously. "Outside... there are so many people, at least thirty or forty. They've... they've surrounded the courtyard!"

Before he could finish, I could already hear shouts and footsteps from the yard. Moments later, several men in black suits stormed into the room.

The leader was someone I had seen before—the man who had accompanied my mother-in-law when she dealt with Li Tao that day.

"Sorry we're late, Boss Xie, Miss Jasmine. Are you both alright?" the leader asked with concern as soon as he entered.

The young man standing by the door immediately moved to Hu Sanyong's side, eyeing the leader warily.

"Alright, alright. Today, Hu Sanyong admits defeat. Let me go, brother. Killing me won't do you any good," Hu Sanyong said through gritted teeth.

I glanced outside and saw the thugs in the yard lying scattered on the ground, their faces twisted in pain. The situation was completely under control.

The only person I was still wary of was the young man beside Hu Sanyong. I shot him a cautious glance—I didn't want to slip up at the last moment.

So, I said to Hu Sanyong, "Tell him to step out into the yard, and then I'll let you go."

Hu Sanyong quickly waved at the young man. The young man scanned the room cautiously, then turned and slowly backed out of the room, never taking his eyes off me.

I looked at the leader, and when he gave me a nod, I slowly withdrew the glass shard from Hu Sanyong's neck.

Hu Sanyong's neck was already slashed open by me with a wound about two centimeters long, covered in blood. He grimaced, wiped his neck, then hastily grabbed the clothes from the kang and hurriedly pulled them on.

At that moment, he dressed no slower than he had undressed earlier, finishing in just a few swift movements.

"Boss Xie, I admit defeat today. But since you've started doing business in Jiangcheng, we'll have plenty of chances to meet again. See you around," Hu Sanyong said, then left with his men.

As soon as Hu Sanyong was gone, the lead man immediately came to my side and helped me up.

"I'm fine. You all go out first," I waved my hand and said.

The lead man glanced at Luo Tong, immediately understood, and led the others out of the room.

"It's over, Miss Luo. Everything's passed," I said gently, sitting by the edge of the kang.

Luo Tong lay motionless on the kang as if she hadn't heard me, staring blankly at the ceiling with unfocused eyes, tears streaming down her face incessantly.

"Miss Luo, pull yourself together. We need to leave this place quickly," I urged. After all, this was Jiangcheng, Hu Sanyong's territory, and it wasn't safe to linger.

Luo Tong had lost all ability to think, lying on the kang without any reaction. The day's ordeal had been too much for her—the humiliation, the shame of being stripped naked and scrutinized by men, the filth of their mouths licking her breasts and private parts, and the helplessness of spreading her legs to endure the threat of their repulsive intrusions. For any woman, especially one as proud as Luo Tong, it was utterly devastating, enough to shatter her completely.

With Luo Tong still unresponsive, I grew increasingly anxious. Who knew if Hu Sanyong would return with his men? This place was far too unsafe.

"Miss Luo, we can't delay any longer. I'm sorry, but I have to take action."

Gritting my teeth, I sat beside Luo Tong, wrapped my arm around her neck, and lifted her up. The sheet covering her slipped off, exposing her naked upper body to my sight.

Luo Tong's near-perfect breasts remained full and firm, though now marred by several bite marks and scratches—traces of Hu Sanyong's savage treatment.

That beast. In an instant, I cursed Hu Sanyong a thousand times in my heart, while grabbing the sheet to wrap Luo Tong up.

From start to finish, Luo Tong remained in a dazed, unresponsive state, her eyes fixed vacantly ahead, allowing me to bundle her up like a dumpling.

I sighed inwardly, took off my suit jacket, and draped it over her. Then, I called out to the door, and the lead man immediately entered.

Sitting on the edge of the kang, I clutched my chest and caught my breath before asking, "What's your name, brother?"

"Mr. Liao, you can call me A'Kun," the lead man replied.

I nodded and said, "Carry Miss Luo to the car. We need to get out of here quickly."

A'Kun acknowledged, immediately jumped onto the kang, and crouched beside Luo Tong, preparing to lift her.

"Ah… Get away! Don't come near me!" Unexpectedly, Luo Tong screamed, kicking her legs wildly as she scrambled backward, curling up in the corner, hugging her knees and sobbing.

"Mr. Liao, what should we do…?" A'Kun looked at me, seeking guidance.

I walked over to Luo Tong and looked at her, feeling an overwhelming ache in my heart. I couldn't tell whether it was sympathy or guilt for failing to protect her—all I knew was that a suffocating heaviness weighed on me.

Closing my eyes, I took a deep breath to steady my emotions before speaking softly, "It's alright. Everything will pass."

I spoke in the gentlest voice possible, afraid of startling her. Luo Tong didn't respond, only weeping bitterly without pause.

Carefully, I reached out and gently placed my hand on Luo Tong's head. She didn't resist, allowing me to softly stroke her beautiful hair.

I comforted her again, "Just think of it as a nightmare. Go back and get a good night's sleep, and everything will fade away. You'll still be the captivating beauty, Luo Tong."

Sitting beside her, I continued to offer reassuring words. Gradually, Luo Tong's sobs softened, shifting from intense weeping to quiet sniffles.

Seeing her emotions stabilize, I knew we couldn't afford to delay any longer. The longer we stayed here, the more uneasy I felt, convinced that Hu Sanyong wouldn't let this go easily.

"Let's head back to Yuncheng first, okay? Can I carry you to the car?" I asked softly.

Luo Tong continued to sniffle without responding.

Tentatively, I wrapped one arm around her back. When she didn't resist, I didn't hesitate further, using my other arm to lift her legs and pick her up.

As I stood, a sharp, piercing pain shot through my chest, causing my body to tremble uncontrollably. At the same time, a faint sweet taste rose in my throat.

My body was in a state of extreme exhaustion, on the verge of collapse at any moment. But I knew I couldn't afford to fall. Gritting my teeth, I swallowed hard, forcing down the taste in my throat.

"Mr. Liao, maybe I should take over," A-Kun said, noticing my condition and quickly stepping in to support me.

I glanced down at Luo Tong. She had stopped crying and had reverted to her dazed state, staring blankly ahead as if lost in thought.

"It's fine, let's go," I said through clenched teeth. If I handed Luo Tong over to A-Kun in this state, she might get agitated again.

A-Kun hurried to the door, opening it wide before helping me out of the room.
