Chapter 17 - Chapter 17: Princess

While Aili and Kiana were having a friendly chat, Himeko came out of the kitchen with two bowls of noodles. She placed one in front of Aili and the other in front of herself.

"Alright, you two should go rest now. Aili, you should eat something too," Himeko said after sitting down.

"But Himeko-jie, I'm not sleepy yet," the White-haired dumpling probed, while Bronya had already stood up.

"Don't forget you have classes tomorrow morning. If you still sleep in tomorrow morning..."

"I know, Himeko-jie! I'm going to bed right now!" The White-haired dumpling immediately stood up and ran upstairs.

"Who are you calling 'Auntie'? Call me'Sister'!" Himeko's voice wasn't very loud when she said this, because Mei was already asleep.

Although Kiana went upstairs quickly, she tried to lighten her footsteps as much as possible to avoid making too much noise.

Taking the chopsticks Himeko handed her, Aili covered her mouth and chuckled softly, "Sister Himeko is very gentle with them."

"It's only at times like this that I can be gentle," Himeko shook her head, then began eating her noodles.

"But these children all respect you, don't they?" Aili sat beside her and also started eating.

During the meal, neither of them spoke much. After all, eating was a time to enjoy delicious food, so it was best not to think about other things.

After finishing the meal, Aili voluntarily cleared the dishes. After organizing everything in the kitchen, she returned to the living room.

Only this time, she didn't sit next to Himeko, but opposite her.

"Sister Himeko must have other things to ask me, right?" Aili asked directly after sitting down.

"Yes, there are still some things to ask. I remember when you told me about Theresa's experience, you said Theresa was poisoned, right?" Himeko asked this question with a serious expression.

"Yes, Theresa was poisoned at that time."

"What kind of enemy did she face? A normal Honkai Beast or Death Soldier shouldn't be able to harm her."

"Hmm... From the outside, it looked like a normal person, but it could manipulate vines, or rather, plants." Then Aili thought for a while, "According to what Theresa said, this enemy could communicate normally, but the content of the communication was always about revenge, or destruction."

"So, it's a new type of enemy? It uses poison. It seems the research department will also need to develop some antidotes." Himeko crossed her arms and pondered. Poison, such a thing, didn't seem like a method Honkai would use. "You said that after Theresa was poisoned, another person took her out of the battlefield, then detoxified her, and then entrusted Theresa to you?"

"Yes, it was a Miss Fox wearing a Miko uniform, with long pink hair and fox ears on her head, who entrusted Theresa to me, and also gave me a corresponding reward." As she spoke, Aili picked up the glove she had removed while eating.

In Aili's hand, the glove glowed pink, then transformed into a compound bow with strange patterns.

Handing the bow to Himeko, she said, "This is the reward that Miss Pink Fox gave me."

Himeko looked at the compound bow in her hand. She knew about spatial compression technology and weapon transformation technology, but what kind of technology was this? Did the size of the glove match the size of this compound bow? And it could transform directly?

Taking the bow, Himeko examined it from left to right, then decided to try pulling the bowstring.

"Sister Himeko, don't pull the bowstring!" Aili quickly stopped her. "This bow will automatically generate an arrow as soon as the string is drawn."

Himeko's curiosity about this weapon grew. It had transformation technology, and it could automatically generate arrows when the bowstring was drawn. Such technology didn't exist in Schicksal. Was this a weapon from Anti-Entropy?

Himeko didn't reject Anti-Entropy; as long as they fought against Honkai together, it was fine.

"Aili, you also know some combat, don't you?" Himeko looked at Aili seriously.

"Combat?" Aili shook her head. "I guess I'm not the type who knows how to fight. After all, I've only been in a few fights."

"Is that so?"

"Sister Himeko, are you doubting my origins? I can assure you, I am not affiliated with any organization." Aili saw Himeko's suspicion. After all, the matter of the Third Herrscher being at Saint Freya Academy was known to both Schicksal and Anti-Entropy.

"Yes, after all, there are too many coincidences in your and Theresa's experiences. I have no choice but to be suspicious." Seeing Aili clarify the situation, Himeko also spoke openly.

"But Aili isn't lying. Theresa really wasn't rescued by Aili, and the poison wasn't detoxified by Aili." Aili looked into Himeko's eyes seriously. "Anyway, isn't the initiative already in your hands, Sister Himeko? What I know is only this much."

"I'm sorry, Aili, I didn't mean to doubt you. It's just a special period right now," Himeko said with a wry smile.

She received information that Theresa's physical condition was not good in the early morning, then saw Theresa's condition rapidly improve, and finally arranged for someone to pick her up.

And Himeko knew about Aili's ability to handle Honkai energy crystals with her bare hands. Although Theresa didn't suspect anything, Himeko certainly had to, after all, she had watched Theresa build this Academy herself.

She didn't care about those who might openly be spies, but Aili's origins were simply too coincidental.

"Mhm, I don't blame Sister Himeko. It's good to always be vigilant, and I believe Sister Himeko wouldn't do anything excessive to me." Aili smiled as she looked at Himeko.

Looking at Aili like that, Himeko felt a little unable to meet her gaze, because she had indeed done some bad things. "Ahaha, if there's nothing else, let's go rest."

Himeko placed the compound bow on the coffee table, then stood up somewhat guiltily, intending to return to her own room, because Aili trusted her so much, yet she had put some truth serum in Aili's food.

And by now, the truth serum should have taken effect, but Aili didn't seem to find anything strange about what she was saying. In other words, what Aili said... probably... should all be true.

"Wait, Sister Himeko, where am I staying tonight?" Seeing Himeko about to run off, Aili quickly asked where she would sleep tonight.

"You can stay in Theresa's room tonight. Theresa probably won't be back tonight." Himeko went upstairs without looking back.

Aili picked up her weapon, which transformed back into a glove, and followed Himeko, "Which one is Theresa's room, Sister Himeko?"

Looking at Aili following her, Himeko felt a little guilty. "Come on, I'll take you up."

When they reached the second floor, Himeko tried to open the door next to the stairs, but she twisted the doorknob a few times and it wouldn't open.

"Why did Theresa lock the door?" Himeko muttered softly.

"Never mind, you can stay with me tonight." Himeko, who gave up after a few twists, took Aili to her own room.

Theresa must have locked her door because of her own things, and Himeko didn't feel right forcing it open, so it was better for Aili to rest with her tonight.
