Chapter 216 - Chapter 216: Moonlight Throne

After Aili woke up, a period of calm passed.

Theresa suddenly sent her an urgent communication.

By the time Aili arrived at the principal's office, Fu Hua and Kiana were already there.

"Theresa, did something happen?" Aili asked, looking at Theresa, who was frowning behind her desk.

"In Canghai City, an unidentified aerial battleship has appeared," Theresa said directly once everyone had arrived.

"An aerial battleship?" Aili asked after a moment of stunned.

Then Theresa displayed a projection. On the projection, a huge aerial battleship floated in the air and was slowly approaching Saint Freya.

"This aerial battleship was discovered by Schicksal's satellites this morning. When it was found, it was already at high altitude."

"And no matter how many times we called, the battleship remained silent."

"Our drones discovered that there were multiple Death Soldier on the battleship."

"So we suspect that there are no normal humans left on this battleship."

"Headquarters wants us to investigate this aerial battleship." After Theresa finished speaking, she pushed the screen displaying the mission list in front of them.

"Kiana, for this mission, I hope your squad takes it on. You haven't been on a mission for a long time. Consider this mission as an assessment."

"Aili, you and Fu Hua, you two will be responsible for supervision and, if necessary, lend them a hand."

"Then Aunt! Can we leave now!" Kiana asked excitedly.

This was considered their independent mission. Although Aili and the others would supervise, as long as they could perfectly complete the mission, Aili would not interfere, which meant they could operate independently!

"Hmm, this mission is very important."

Theresa looked at Himeko, who was beside her, "Himeko, for this mission, you will command Hyperion and take them along."

"If necessary, in an uninhabited area, you can shoot down the mission target."

When she said this, Theresa was very serious.

After all, this aerial battleship was heading this way. What if the battleship attacked them once it was overhead? This was not a risk they could take.

"Don't worry, if Kiana and the others can't handle it, then let it sink into the sea," Himeko said confidently.

"So, are there any other questions?" Theresa looked around.

After confirming that no one had any objections, she said, "Then, let's go!"

Subsequently, Himeko led everyone out.

Standing on Hyperion, Aili didn't know what her emotions were.

Because the main storyline of the game had begun: Moonlight Throne.

Although she had forgotten who sent the Moonlight Throne, this was undoubtedly the beginning of the plot.

Looking at the excited Kiana beside her.

Aili's eyes slowly firmed up.

'They are no longer just characters in a game. I won't let the tragedies from the game happen again.' Aili gripped the railing tightly, looking at the approaching battleship.

As they drew closer, Hyperion's altitude rapidly increased.

After reaching above the Moonlight Throne, it maintained the same speed as the Moonlight Throne, hovering directly above it.

At the battleship's launch bay, Kiana and the others put on their gear.

When the launch bay opened, Kiana and the others confidently walked to the opening, looking at the battleship below, Kiana shouted with full confidence, "Kiana! Sortie!"

After they jumped down, Aili leaned against the wall and walked to the launch bay, somewhat weak-kneed as she cautiously peered out.

Fu Hua walked up to Aili at this moment, "Still afraid of heights?"

"Hua, you know it, just don't say it out loud," Aili said helplessly.

Then she pressed the button beside her to close the launch bay.

After the launch bay closed, Aili breathed a sigh of relief.

"In a little while, we'll need to jump down too," Fu Hua said.

"That's for later. At least we don't have to jump now," Aili said, turning her head away.

She didn't want to be afraid of heights, either. She didn't know why, even though she knew this height wasn't a problem for her and she had experienced it many times, she was still scared.

She always felt like she was jumping into an abyss, the kind where you jump down and can't get back up.

Before setting off, Aili kept telling herself, 'I won't get hurt, it doesn't matter, it's not like I haven't jumped before.'

But when Kiana and the others cleared the landing spot, the launch bay opened again, and Aili looked outside, gripping the nearby railing tightly.

"It's our turn to go," Fu Hua reminded Aili.

"I know, I know!" Aili peeked out again.

But the hand gripping the railing remained stubbornly tight.

"Sigh." After Fu Hua sighed, she walked directly in front of Aili.

"It'll be better if you can't see it," she said, then Fu Hua directly embraced Aili.

After picking Aili up, she said, "Close your eyes tightly."

After saying that, Fu Hua jumped down directly.

Aili also listened to Fu Hua's words and closed her eyes, but the sound of the wind around her kept reminding her that she was falling from a great height.

Aili gritted her teeth, trying not to scream in an embarrassing way. Her hands gripped Fu Hua's clothes tightly.

Only when she felt the landing sensation that comes with touching down did Aili cautiously open her eyes.

Then Aili quickly let go of Fu Hua's clothes, jumped out of Fu Hua's embrace, and turned her head away, saying in a very faint voice, "Thank you..."

"You're welcome," Fu Hua adjusted her collar.

The other squads around them, seeing the atmosphere between the two, were whispering among themselves.

They had seen Fu Hua holding Aili as they descended.

No one had ever thought that Aili, an A-rank Valkyrie, would be afraid of heights.

They all thought this method of descent was just a playful interaction between the two, or that Aili had something important on her.

However, their expressions after landing were captured by some people.

Whether it was the shy Aili or the calm and cool Fu Hua, who was neatly adjusting her clothes.

For them, the Valkyries, this was the best gossip material.

This way, after the mission ended, they would have something to chat about with Valkyries from other branches.

A forbidden romance between Valkyries, although a common theme, would definitely attract a large audience!
