I reached for the heavy leather belt he had just discarded, coiling it around my hand.
The weight of it felt right. I signaled for him to get up, and he lay face down on the bed.
Then, I climbed onto the bed, straddling his broad back. I grabbed a handful of his dark hair, pulling his head back so I could whisper into his ear.
"I'm going to leave more marks on you that Maegel will never see," I promised, my lips curling into a truly sadistic smirk. "I'm going to break that stoic silence of yours until the whole tower hears you scream my name. Do you understand?"
"Yes… Yes, Master," he groaned, his body shuddering with a mix of anticipation and fear.
"This way… You won't forget about me, even if we are miles away."
I raised the belt, the sound of it whistling through the air the only warning he got before the first strike landed.
