Chapter 206 - Chapter 206: The New hogwarts express

The moment Headmaster Dumbledore arrived, the outcome seemed already set.

Fudge and Umbridge's various accusations were fragile before Headmaster Dumbledore; with just a few words, he could dismantle the unreasonable and illegal aspects of those accusations.

Time and again, he shattered the "ambitions" of Fudge and Umbridge.

Finally, after being thwarted by another sentence from Headmaster Dumbledore, Fudge, in a fit of rage, let slip a clearly wrong statement:

"The law can be amended!"

Amanda, sitting next to Harry, raised an eyebrow upon hearing this, and her clear, cold voice rang out once more in the courtroom.

"Does Minister Fudge mean that even if Harry is innocent now, you can still amend the law to make him guilty?"

"What?" The sudden heat of anger quickly faded, and Fudge's face turned deathly pale. "No, of course I didn't mean that."

"I hope so, Minister Fudge. After all, I recall that enacting laws is not within your purview."

Amanda said this expressionlessly, then gestured for him and Headmaster Dumbledore to continue.

After some rather intense verbal sparring, Harry was declared innocent on the spot.

Fudge and his faction of Wizards heaved their chests, glaring viciously at the three of them, though clearly, they did not care.

Amanda even smiled at Fudge with some interest; now that Harry had been declared innocent, the real show on your side was about to begin.

Seeing Amanda's smile, Fudge's heart sank instantly. What was that damn girl smiling about? Potter had already been declared innocent; what else did she want to do?

Clearly, the arrogant Fudge did not believe there was anyone in the Ministry of Magic who dared to resist him, let alone investigate him.

However, the reality was exactly the opposite of what he assumed. Almost the instant Amanda and Harry stood up to leave the courtroom, the courtroom doors were flung open.

Several Wizards in blue uniform robes walked into the courtroom, followed by several Aurors.

As soon as these Aurors entered, they immediately drew their wands and subdued their colleagues standing in the corner.

"What are you doing?!" Seeing his people being subdued, Fudge slammed his hand on the table in front of him.

What was this? Were those Aurors betraying the Ministry of Magic?

"Don't be so agitated, Mr. Minister," a Witch in blue robes walked up to Fudge, smiling as she presented the documents in her hand. "We have reason to suspect you of illegally releasing Dementors and abusing your power. Please cooperate with our investigation."

"Wh-what? You are investigating me? I am the Minister for Magic!"

The Witch with the documents looked at Fudge as if he were an idiot. What was a Minister for Magic who lacked both power and influence?

If he had any brains, holding that position wouldn't be impossible, but unfortunately, he had none.

Then it was completely possible to take action against him. If not for the fact that Junior Lin Yue insisted that Miss Granger should legitimately become the next Minister for Magic, Fudge could have disappeared quietly long ago.

This matter didn't even require Amanda to do it herself; many of them would be willing to do it for her.

"Even if you are the Minister for Magic, you must obey the law, Mr. Minister. Please cooperate, and don't make us resort to measures we don't want to use."

As soon as the Witch finished speaking, the Aurors she brought in simultaneously turned their gazes toward Fudge.

These dozen or so Aurors were not comparable to ordinary Aurors; they were all outstanding graduates of Ravenclaw. Given the current qualifications of the Aurors at the Ministry of Magic, each of them could handle ten opponents without falling behind, and if they had enough time, they could even take down those ten.

"Okay, okay, I will cooperate."

Fudge's face trembled with anger. In his view, having his authority offended in his "own territory" was even more unbearable than seeing Harry Potter declared innocent.

Smiling as she patted Harry on the back, Amanda's voice was devoid of any emotion. "Feel better now?"

"Relieved, so relieved." Harry only felt an uncontrollable sense of relief in his heart, as if his whole person had been cleared from top to bottom. "Watching Fudge suffer the consequences of his own actions makes me even happier than being declared innocent."

"I don't mean to interrupt your happiness, Miss Amanda, Harry, but I think if we don't leave now, Minister Fudge and Umbridge are going to be angered to death by the smiles on your faces."

Headmaster Dumbledore looked back at the two students and winked mischievously. Amanda and Harry looked at each other, and for the sake of Fudge and Umbridge's health, they followed Headmaster Dumbledore out of the courtroom.

These two people couldn't die yet; let's not actually let them be angered to death.

Walking on the path leading out of the Ministry of Magic, Headmaster Dumbledore looked down at Amanda beside him. "Miss Amanda, how is your summer plan coming along?"

Amanda looked up at Headmaster Dumbledore and shook her head mechanically.

"Not very smooth; we only found one and destroyed it."

"That is already very impressive," Headmaster Dumbledore praised his student without reservation. "This is a remarkable achievement. You know, I am still searching for clues, and so far, I haven't found a single one."

"May I ask where the thing you found and destroyed was, and what it was?"

"Of course, Headmaster Dumbledore," Amanda nodded candidly. "We found it at the old Gaunt House; it was a ring."

"I used a fire magic I created to destroy it, but after that ring was destroyed, it left this behind."

As Amanda spoke, she pulled a small black stone from the pocket of her wizard robe and held it up in front of Headmaster Dumbledore.

Seeing a special pattern on the stone through his glasses, Headmaster Dumbledore's breathing noticeably faltered, and the expression on his face shifted several times in an instant.

Longing, yearning, regret, helplessness, and finally, an unwilling but necessary relief.

Watching the changes in Headmaster Dumbledore's expression, Amanda hesitated but asked in a tone without any inflection.

"Headmaster Dumbledore, do you know what this is?"

"Yes, I know." Headmaster Dumbledore smiled self-deprecatingly and signaled for Amanda to put the stone away.

Amanda put the black stone back into her wizard robe pocket and waited quietly for Headmaster Dumbledore's explanation.

"That is a fairy tale in the Wizarding World. Legend has it that there were once three brothers who made a bet with Death and won against Death."

"One person obtained the wand, which had infinite power and could always help him win. One person obtained the invisibility cloak that originally belonged to Death, which could even evade Death. And another person obtained the stone that could resurrect the dead, the resurrection stone."

Amanda frowned and glanced at her wizard robe pocket. "So this thing is the resurrection stone?"

"Yes." Headmaster Dumbledore nodded affirmatively.

"This is completely impossible," Amanda denied categorically. "Fixed death cannot be changed, and death that has already occurred cannot be reversed."

"From the perspective of probability and data in all aspects, no one can reverse a death that has already occurred; that would only cause more uncontrollable results."

"Unless there is some power that can simultaneously limit time, causality, and limit everything that might be changed by that death, but such a power cannot exist."

"A very wise analysis, Miss Amanda. If we were at school, I would definitely add fifty points for you."

Headmaster Dumbledore nodded with satisfaction; the younger generation's thinking was more mature than theirs had been, which was truly good.

"The resurrection stone cannot truly resurrect the dead; it can only create projections of the dead, and those projections will do everything possible to guide the user to embrace death."

"Hiss..." Harry couldn't help but gasp and join the conversation. "That sounds more like a dangerous Dark Arts object."

"No," Amanda shook her head, stating a fact. "There are no traces of Dark Arts on it; it is more likely to be an alchemical object."

As she spoke, she patted the pocket of her wizard robe on the other side, where a Button was placed. Of course, death that had already occurred could not be changed.

But time could be deceived, and death could also be deceived, just as the world could be deceived.

"Regardless of what it is," Headmaster Dumbledore led Amanda and Harry out of the Ministry of Magic and onto the surface. Facing the dazzling sunlight, he raised a slightly aged hand in front of his eyes. "Without a doubt, it will not bring any harm or temptation to you. I am proud of you, truly."

Headmaster Dumbledore lowered his hand after speaking, and a moist light flashed in his eyes as he looked down at the two of them. "It's getting late. I think I still have some things to deal with."

"Goodbye, Headmaster Dumbledore." The two Young Wizards politely bid farewell to the Principal, watching him turn and disappear on the spot.

"I feel like Headmaster Dumbledore seemed very sad just now?"

Harry looked at the place where Headmaster Dumbledore had disappeared, uncertain, and said in a faint voice.

"Everyone has their own sorrows," Amanda's mind suddenly popped up with this sentence. "Let's go back too."

"Oh, okay."

Grabbing Harry's shoulder and using Apparition, Amanda and Harry instantly appeared at the entrance of the Granger Residence.

"You're back!"

Hermione, who had been watching out the window, jumped up from the sofa and ran over to open the door, looking at Amanda and Harry outside.

"How did it go?"

"Harry is innocent, and Fudge has been asked to cooperate with the investigation."

Amanda walked into the house, changed her shoes, and told Hermione about the situation in the courtroom just now.

"Congratulations." Hermione smiled happily at Harry.

"It's all thanks to the help of Amanda and Headmaster Dumbledore." Harry shook his head, knowing clearly that without the two of them, he would likely have been found guilty.

Reaching out to hug Amanda's waist, Hermione pecked the lips of the person in her arms several times. "Thank you for your hard work. Mom and Dad aren't here for lunch today, so I'll cook for you."

"I'll help!" Harry quickly raised his hand. He had wanted to do something for a long time, but usually when Mr. and Mrs. Granger were around, they insisted on not letting him into the kitchen...

In the final days of the summer vacation, the news of Harry's innocence, accompanied by reports in The Daily Prophet and his speech, spread throughout the British Wizarding World.

Along with it spread the news that Fudge, the Minister for Magic, was being investigated. For a time, the prestige of the Fudge faction among the public hit a new low, which left Fudge, who was busy "cooperating with the investigation," and Umbridge, who was busy dealing with the investigation while preparing to teach at Hogwarts, in a state of desperation.

So much so that by the time Amanda and the others were ready to return to Hogwarts, the Ministry of Magic had not been able to do anything to interfere with them.

The three of them stepped onto Platform Nine and Three-Quarters together. Except for Amanda, Hermione and Harry were deeply surprised when they saw the "hogwarts express" in front of them.

They looked at the train in front of them with suspicion and shock: the bullet train head, the white carriage body full of high-tech feel, and the way it was clearly floating above the "tracks"—was this still the hogwarts express?!

They hadn't gone to the wrong station, had they?

Amanda stood beside them with a calm expression and introduced it in a flat tone.

"The first successful work of Factory 06 and Factory 35. Magnetic levitation theory combined with magic implementation. The cost is reduced to five thousand pounds per kilometer of construction. After it starts running, the magic will automatically put the train into a full vacuum state. The traveling speed is much faster than an airplane, zero wind resistance, zero noise."

"It takes only three minutes to get from King's Cross Station to Hogwarts."

"Re-really, amazing..." Hermione swallowed hard. Of course, she knew about maglev trains, but worldwide, this vacuum maglev train should be the first one that could actually run.

Not to mention that Amanda had pressed its construction cost to an unimaginably low level.

"So this is, this, why change the hogwarts express?"

Harry slowly regained his ability to speak and turned to ask Amanda, not quite understanding, then suddenly realized it himself.

"Oh, to defend against Voldemort?"

"Yes," Amanda nodded honestly. "With this train, combined with the defensive Charms arranged along the tracks, if Voldemort wants to attack the hogwarts express, the success rate is less than one percent."

"It's really a tragedy for Voldemort to be up against Amanda." Harry said what was on his mind almost subconsciously. Amanda and Hermione looked at each other and couldn't help but raise the corners of their mouths.

Clearly, it wasn't just Hermione and Harry who were surprised by this new hogwarts express; all the Young Wizards were surprised and curious.

Many Young Wizards touched this and looked at that outside the train, and only walked onto the train quickly when the bell for the train's departure rang.

Putting the suitcase in front of her legs, Amanda leaned back comfortably on the seat. Since it was only three minutes, there was no need to put the luggage on the luggage rack.

Hermione sat next to Amanda, leaning sideways on her shoulder, looking curiously out the window, preparing to see what it would look like outside in a moment.
