Chapter 212 - Chapter 212: You Are Truly a Joke

Given Umbridge's personality, Amanda estimated that even if she were faced with suppression from all four houses simultaneously, the time she would spend clinging on and wreaking havoc in Hogwarts would absolutely not be less than one semester.

This duration might even extend to a full school year, fueled by her resentment towards the teachers and students of Hogwarts.

Slowly closing her eyes, Amanda, lying on the bed with an unchanging expression on her face, made a judgment about Umbridge in her mind.

A disgusting, extremely clingy, and difficult-to-resolve individual.

Meanwhile, Umbridge, who had been hit by over a dozen spells, finally struggled to wake up in the Hospital Wing.

Having been struck by over a dozen spells simultaneously, even Madam Pomfrey's Potion could not make her wake up immediately; it was only in the deep night, several hours later, that she regained consciousness.

"Hiss..." Her fat hand pressed against her forehead, and it took Umbridge a good while to recall what had happened earlier.

Thinking of being hit by the spells of those students, the hand she was using to press her forehead couldn't help but clench tightly.

It was truly, truly lawless!

She was the deputy head of the ministry of magic, the most capable person under Minister Fudge, yet she had been attacked on her very first day at Hogwarts.

It seemed Minister Fudge's judgment of Hogwarts was entirely correct; this place had completely become Dumbledore's territory—and of course, that included those two damned young girls, Amanda and Hermione Granger!

The more she thought about it, the angrier Umbridge became. She didn't even care that it was the middle of the night; she reached into her pocket, pulled out a two-way mirror, and directly called Fudge on the other end.

Woken up in the middle of the night, Fudge frowned tightly, looking down at the two-way mirror in his hand.

"I hope you have some very necessary and important matter to find me this late, Dolores."

Having his sleep disturbed made Fudge feel very dissatisfied, and he glared indignantly at Umbridge in the two-way mirror.

Dolores was usually quite capable; not only could she understand his thoughts, but praising his virtues and helping him navigate various relationships came naturally to her.

Why was she so inconsiderate tonight!

The resentment of being called up halfway through his sleep even made him selectively ignore the obvious Hospital Wing decor around Umbridge.

"Apologies for disturbing your rest, Mr. Minister."

Listening to Fudge's reprimand, Umbridge clenched her hands tightly, trying to remind herself that Fudge was her backer and she couldn't afford a falling out with him.

Lifting a sweet, syrupy smile, Umbridge apologized humbly, then immediately reported the events of the night to Fudge, adding fuel to the fire as she described the "atrocities" committed by the Hogwarts teachers and students.

"The entire student body attacked you?!"

Fudge stared dumbfounded at the two-way mirror in his hand. He had graduated from Hogwarts less than fifty years ago; had the changes in this school been a bit too drastic?

Students dared to directly attack a deputy head of the ministry of magic and a Professor?

This was disregarding the Ministry of Magic and himself, the Minister for Magic, far too much.

Taking two deep breaths, Fudge said to Umbridge with a gloomy expression, "You should understand, Dolores, that if this was done by all the Hogwarts students together, there is very little we can do."

"We cannot arrest all the Young Wizards at Hogwarts."

If he did that, Fudge had no doubt that if he acted that way in the morning, the Ministry of Magic would be blown to pieces by angry parents in the afternoon.

"What? But Mr. Minister, I was hit; I was hit by those arrogant, conceited Young Wizards!"

"And Dumbledore and the others were watching from the sidelines!"

Umbridge raised her voice in disbelief; her voice was sharp and thin, making Fudge unable to help but wrinkle his nose.

"Someone should pay the price for this!"

"Enough, Dolores," Fudge wrinkled his nose and reached out to rub his ears, "You are too loud. I only said there is little we can do, but I didn't say we can't do anything."

"We cannot arrest all the Young Wizards, but we can arrest the ringleaders."

His already small eyes narrowed slightly, and the figures of two young witches surfaced in Fudge's mind.

It was those two, repeatedly challenging his authority, repeatedly disregarding him, and even attempting to steal his power!

He couldn't even believe that what those two young witches had done had actually had some effect.

Had the Wizards of the British Wizarding World all gone mad? Would they rather believe those two young witches who hadn't even graduated yet than believe him, such an incumbent Minister for Magic?

"I understand, Mr. Minister."

Hearing Fudge's words, Umbridge revealed a pretentious, sinister smile, "I think this will fully demonstrate Mr. Minister's determination to maintain order in the British Wizarding World and your magnanimity towards the Young Wizards."

"Of course, Dolores," Fudge chuckled; he loved hearing what Umbridge was saying now, "I believe everyone in the Wizarding World will understand these two points you mentioned."

"I don't understand." Professor Flitwick and the other Professors stood beside Headmaster Dumbledore, blocking Fudge, Umbridge, and a group of Aurors who were attempting to walk into the Great Hall.

"You have suddenly come to Hogwarts, and you say you want to arrest my students."

The aura around Professor Flitwick climbed steadily; this dueling master did not hesitate to draw his wand.

"I don't think any reason you give will convince me."

"I think I feel the same, gentlemen, and lady." Professor McGonagall slowly stepped forward, her sharp gaze sweeping over Fudge and the group of Aurors, finally resting on Umbridge.

Being watched by two former Professors simultaneously, the Ministry of Magic employees present, including Fudge and Umbridge, couldn't help but break into a cold sweat.

"Our reasons are sufficient, Minerva, Filius," Fudge tried hard to calm himself down and held his head high to look more imposing, "Miss Granger and Amanda indirectly or directly guided other Young Wizards to attack the incumbent deputy head of the ministry of magic of the Ministry of Magic, and the current Hogwarts defense against the dark arts professor; we need to take them away for trial."

"As for the other Young Wizards, Dolores and I have decided not to pursue accountability; I think we have done very well."

Headmaster Dumbledore's blue eyes gradually turned cold; he reached out to block Professor McGonagall and Professor Flitwick, doing what he would always do in any situation: standing in front of everyone.

"I don't think Miss Granger and Amanda have done what you say, Cornelius, and even if they had, the Ministry of Magic does not have the authority to try them."

"This matter should be handled by the Principal of Hogwarts, which is to say, me."

"I thought you would have learned your lesson, Cornelius, given that you are still under investigation."

Lowering his head slightly, Headmaster Dumbledore's gaze from above made Fudge retreat two steps involuntarily, but as soon as he thought about the fact that he was still under investigation, his anger couldn't help but flare up again.

That's right, he was still under investigation, all because of that hateful, damned Amanda, which led to him still being under investigation!

The first Minister for Magic in the history of the British Wizarding World to be under investigation—Merlin's lace socks!

"Good morning, Headmaster Dumbledore, good morning, Professors," a cold and indifferent voice sounded behind Fudge and the others. Amanda, accompanied by Hermione, Cho Chang, and Marietta Eckmore, walked over step by step. "Also, I just heard that someone wants to arrest me and Hermione?"

Glancing sideways at Hermione, Amanda turned her head back to look at Fudge and the others who had already turned around, "Is it you? Minister Fudge."

As she spoke, Amanda walked forward. Terrifying magic vibrated from her; compared to anyone present, her magic was like a vast, boundless ocean, even causing the surrounding air to ripple with layer upon layer of invisible "waves."

"Arrest me, and Hermione?"

Amanda repeated it again; as she took a step forward, the people from the Ministry of Magic couldn't control themselves and retreated a step.

"What gave you the illusion that you are qualified to arrest Hermione, to arrest me?"

Her long hair fluttered without wind. The eyes with which Amanda looked at Fudge and the others were dead silent, as if she were not looking at several living people, but at several objects that could disappear at any moment.

"You, you incited the Young Wizards to harm the incumbent deputy head of the ministry of magic..."

Fudge stammered, while in his heart he couldn't help but condemn himself. He hadn't been this afraid when facing Dumbledore, so why was he like this when facing this young Witch?

"So what?"

Amanda narrowed her eyes, her hands shoved into the pockets of her wizard robe. Facing these few guys from the Ministry of Magic, she didn't even need to use her hands.

"Because of this, you want to arrest Hermione, arrest me? Fine."

She stopped and stood still, "I am standing right here. If you want to catch me, come on, please."

"However, I cannot guarantee whether the person who catches me will be dead or alive in a moment."

Gulp... The Aurors behind Fudge and Umbridge swallowed, looking at each other, but no one dared to step forward.

They had long heard from colleagues who had faced Amanda before that this Young Wizard was terrifying beyond measure. Before, they had thought maybe their colleagues were exaggerating, but now, seeing this... they exchanged bitter smiles; their colleagues were indeed telling the truth.

Facing Dumbledore, they could feel an insurmountable mountain, but facing Amanda, they felt as if a volcano ready to erupt at any moment was before them, one that might take their lives at any time.

Looking at Amanda in front, Hermione also stepped forward without fear, similarly putting her hands into the pockets of her wizard robe, "I am the same; if you want to, just come and catch me."

Although her Wandless and Non-verbal Spells were not as good as Amanda's, they were still quite good.

Cho Chang and Marietta Eckmore did not hesitate at all, directly drawing their wands and pointing them at the people from the Ministry of Magic.

"Just as Amanda said, if you take one step forward, I'm not sure what kind of Charms I will cast on you."

Cho Chang's voice was firm and cold; the soft features of the oriental girl were now filled with ice that could not be melted.

"I promise, I will throw every Charms I know at you, no matter what it is."

Marietta Eckmore spoke even more directly; after all, when it came to the Charms she knew, she also knew the four Unforgivable Curses.

Thanks to the contribution of last year's Death Eater Professor Barty!

Opening his mouth in vain, Fudge found that he couldn't say a word. What was even more terrifying was that his back was already soaked with sweat, and there was a voice in his mind urging him to run.

Unable to help it, he retreated two more steps. Amanda looked indifferently at Fudge, who could only retreat, Umbridge, who had turned into a "sick cat," and the Aurors who didn't even dare to say a word.

A sneer curled the corner of her lips, and Amanda said unceremoniously, "Arrest us? You are truly a joke, Minister Fudge, Professor Umbridge."

"You are just a joke."

Striding forward and bumping past the people from the Ministry of Magic, Amanda nodded politely to Headmaster Dumbledore and the Professors before walking into the Great Hall.

Hermione followed closely behind, and Cho Chang and Marietta Eckmore also put away their wands and followed, but before walking into the Great Hall, they both showed the people from the Ministry of Magic a mocking smile identical to Amanda's.

"Dumbledore, this, this is the student you taught? Lawless, simply lawless!"

Fudge pressed his hand tightly against his chest, his heart beating violently, not knowing if it was because of anger or fear, or perhaps both.

"I cannot decide the personalities of the students, Cornelius."

Headmaster Dumbledore shrugged his shoulders, "However, I think they are courageous in saying no to false accusations, not lawless; you used the wrong word."

"The Ministry of Magic will not let Hogwarts continue to be so rampant, Dumbledore."

Fudge gritted his teeth as he said this and wanted to leave with Umbridge and the Aurors; the current situation was already completely unfavorable to them, and staying would only result in them becoming a complete joke, with no other possibility.

It could only be said that they were still too blind regarding the "prestige" of the Ministry of Magic, so blind that they had forgotten the lessons of the previous few times, thinking that if they came to Hogwarts, they could take away Amanda and Hermione.

"How Hogwarts is run is not for you to manage; when we founded the school, the Ministry of Magic did not even know where it was."

"Coming to Hogwarts to cause trouble, and then wanting to run after causing it?"

Two female voices sounded one after another; they were none other than Rowena and Helga, who had just come out of their daughter's watch.

Bang!

Compared to the Professors and their own daughter, the actions of the two mothers were obviously more direct; after a loud bang, Fudge and Umbridge flew backward directly into the Great Hall.

"If you don't want to experience it too, then walk in yourself."

Rowena looked at the Aurors who were standing there dumbfounded, looking at her and Helga as if they had seen Merlin, and raised her chin, gesturing towards the Great Hall.

"Go, go, we will go in immediately."

As soon as the words fell, the Aurors scrambled and ran into the Hogwarts Great Hall, fearing that if they were one step slow, they would also become "flying people."

Founders... How could the Founders appear? How, how were they still alive?

The commotion of Fudge and Umbridge "flying" into the Great Hall completely startled the Young Wizards who were eating breakfast. Everyone looked in unison towards the middle of the Great Hall, and then they saw the unconscious incumbent Minister for Magic and the deputy head of the ministry of magic.
