Chapter 94 - Karin

Inside his personal pocket dimension, Yin An observed the shinobi world as it temporarily slipped into a state of strategic hibernation, rubbing his chin thoughtfully.

"The evil final boss is in place. The serpent monsters are set up as otherworldly creatures…"

"Then shouldn't I also arrange a native big bad—someone who can truly stir up chaos from within?"

After some consideration, Yin An found the idea rather appealing.

"The script for the fourth Heavenly Screen still needs some polishing. I've been so absorbed in reading novels these past few days that I nearly forgot…"

"Mmm. Before that, I'll give the shinobi world something to keep busy. Add a little more spice."

His gaze seemed to pierce through space itself, sweeping across every corner of the shinobi world.

In the end, it settled on a tiny figure steeped in pain and despair.

"Mm… she'll do."

"The last survivor of the Uzumaki clan, possessing vast chakra reserves and a unique regenerative constitution—yet burdened with a cruel fate…"

"…Karin."

A playful smile curved Yin An's lips, like a chess player placing down a piece filled with infinite variables.

"A girl pushed to the brink by the world… what kind of avenger will she become once she gains power?"

"Truly something to look forward to."

With a thought, Yin An activated the invisible system, remotely deploying the 'cheat'.

First: an absolute foundation of power.

Grant her base physical strength far surpassing even Tsunade's monstrous strength, with a bloodline-grade foundation. This alone would give her overwhelming physical dominance against the vast majority of shinobi.

Second: cruel survivability and regeneration.

"Blood-Bathed Recovery(Uzumaki clan vitality combined with accelerated healing chakra control)." The more she fights and kills, the faster she recovers—growing stronger through battle itself. This would force her onto a one-way path: sustaining herself through combat.

Third: the devil's whisper.

A "Temptation and Corruption" ability—not genjutsu, but something closer to mental influence, capable of amplifying the darkness and desires buried deep within others' hearts.

Perhaps, when the Heavenly Screen plays again, this power would create… unexpected ripples.

"All right. The seed has been planted."

Yin An nodded in satisfaction.

"Now we'll see how this flower of evil blooms in such cruel soil."

Land of Grass

In a dark, damp corner, a red-haired little girl curled into herself, arms wrapped tightly around her knees.

She was crying so hard she could barely breathe.

Mud mixed with cold tears traced filthy streaks down her small face.

Her mother… was dead.

Not long ago, in order to protect her, she had been bitten to death—alive—by greedy, wounded shinobi of Kusagakure.

They drank her mother's life force like beasts, biting and feeding until that body turned cold and shriveled.

Karin had seen it all with her own eyes.

The terror and hatred nearly tore her mind apart.

She knew it.

With her mother gone, the next one would be… her.

The Uzumaki healing chakra flowing in her body was, to them, nothing more than a convenient, renewable medical tool.

Knowing her fate yet being powerless to resist filled her heart with searing hatred—for Kusagakure, and for every abuser in this world.

Yet at the same time, the inevitability of suffering the same fate as her mother drowned her in helplessness and bone-deep pain.

Karin hugged her knees, her tiny body trembling violently from fear and sobs.

"You're… so pitiful…"

A hoarse, seductive voice—cold like a venomous snake—suddenly slipped straight into her mind.

"Ah!"

Karin jolted, clutching her ears and frantically looking around in terror.

The abandoned building's corner was empty—just her, the cold air, and the faint sound of Grass ninja laughing outside.

No one else was there.

That voice… came from inside her head.

She bit down hard on her lower lip, not daring to make a sound, terrified of attracting those monsters.

Even though the voice itself clearly wasn't human.

"This world… is filthy…"

The voice continued, resonating strangely, as if it were plucking at the darkest strings of her heart.

"So it needs to be purified."

Purified?

Amid her fear and confusion, Karin latched onto the unfamiliar word.

"Little girl… your heart is filled with resentment toward this world," the voice coaxed softly.

"Why not… go and purify it?"

"…Purify?" Karin repeated instinctively in her thoughts, confused—and without realizing it, faintly curious.

"What does that mean?"

"Hehehe…"

The voice let out a chilling, inhuman laugh, brimming with defiance and destruction.

"What else could it mean?"

"To wipe out everyone you can't stand—body and soul alike."

"To erase them completely from this world."

"That… is true purification."

"!!!"

Karin's heart clenched violently. Her small body went rigid.

Destroy everyone she hated? Make them disappear completely?

In her mind flashed the twisted faces of those Grass ninja—their greed as they fed on her mother, the way they looked at her like property.

A powerful, dark impulse surged, threatening to overwhelm her reason.

But in the next instant—

Her mother's final gaze—full of worry and reluctance—pierced through the darkness like a fragile ray of light.

No… that's not right…

Karin stopped responding to the voice, trying desperately to drive it away.

She told herself she must be hallucinating—too frightened, too desperate—or that she had encountered a lunatic that knew only destruction.

Because she… could do nothing.

"You've forgotten—"

The demonic voice suddenly sharpened, like an icy spike, smashing straight through her fragile mental defenses.

"—your mother was bullied to death!!"

"!!!"

Karin shuddered violently.

The image replayed uncontrollably—her mother surrounded, bitten, her life draining away at horrifying speed.

That wasn't just death.

It was humiliation. Desecration.

The voice clung to her like a curse, whispering with cruel clarity, every word dripping with poison:

"Your mother wanted you to live."

"That's why she died willingly."

"She traded her life… just to buy you a few more days."

Tears burst forth uncontrollably.

Karin knew.

She had always known.

Her mother's last look held no regret—only sorrow at leaving her behind.

"But…"

The voice suddenly turned sharp and mocking.

"…those shinobi lied to your mother."
