Davis stood up and left the room, while his assistant glanced back at her curiously, the moment they were gone, Herold stood up from where he hid.
"You.....you are fired!" he shouted while pointing at her, his face redden from embarrassment.
Anna knew he was just trying to save face Incase she gossiped about him. But what he didn't know was that she had already planned to resign. After all, who knows what he will plan next, but the thought of her father's medication made turned her pale.
Herold dusted himself off and glanced at her. Seeing her quiet and pale face he thought that she was afraid of him, The ego that have been bruised before quickly rose again.
"If you still want to keep your job" he said proudly " let's spend the night together"
The thought disgusted Anna, without a word she quickly ran out, she was just at the door when she ran into Kate.
seeing how low Anna's blouse is and the suspicious fingerprints on her skin she quickly thought the plan had worked.
"Oh" she laughed smugly "aren't you more than this, you slut?"
Anna froze in disbelief she couldn't believe that someone she took as her best friend will do something like that, immediately her eyes reddened.
"How could you, I thought we were best friends" Anna said in shock and hurt.
"Best friends?" Kate laughed mockingly "let me tell you the truth, Herold said if he can have his way with you, he would sign me up under a contract as actress" she said gloating, ever since she she knew Anna, she was jealous of her. Her crush then had a crush on Anna and she was also friends with Alora, even when they got a job, Herold quickly took a like at her and she was also more prettier than her.
" Is that why you betrayed me" Anna said in disbelief.
she and Kate had been friends since college.After Alora went abroad, she and Kate have been staying together, submitting job applications. When they finally got a job it was at the same place they were so happy for not being separated but looking at the hideous and triumphant expression on Kate's, she could hardly believe it was the same Kate she knew back then.
Kate scoff " if it wasn't for Alora, do you think we would be friends, after all she have rich background, while you are just from a lowly one", she have always wanted to be someone who people are jealous of thinking of how those fat fingers touched her, and looking at Anna pretty face, her heart raced in happiness at how Anna passed through the same fate as her.

she watched as Kate shoved her aside, her hideous face returning back to a cute one and walked toward Herold coquettishly, while swaying her hips.

Anna turned away disgusted as they clung to each other shamelessly, unconcerned about their surrounding, she walked out of the bar, not noticing a black car packed quietly at the road side.
A man inside the car lit a cigarette, the smoke slowly veiling his face.
" Drive" he said gruffly.
