Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: Demon in Disguise

Three Large Wolves run through the dark forest chasing a long footed bunny. The bunny expertly hops through the forest still much farther ahead than the wolves. Realizing that they aren't catching up to the bunny the wolf in the front howls as the other two howl with him. Then, coming out from behind a tree is a large four winged raven. But this barely stopped the bunny as it efficiently turned drifting around a nearby tree now running in a different direction. The raven then chases after the bunny cawing for the wolves, effectively leading them to the bunny.

But out of nowhere it stops in front of something, standing there in fear. The raven stops moving and stares at the thing in front of the bunny with its cawing coming to a pause altogether.

One of the wolves ran through the trees and bit down hard on the bunny with a loud 'Crunch'. The other two also come out but immediately notice the thing before them and growls. The one that led the group noticed this and looked over to notice a ghastly figure of black smoke. Its red eyes peer down at the animals as it radiates ominous energy. Enough to cause the group of wild animals to run. The figure watches them run away before wandering around the forest. It didn't remember how it came to be nor its purpose, but all it wants is to wander and explore.

The ghastly figure then reached the edge of the forest. Greeting the figure was a large stone wall. Looking up it notices a white building behind the wall. Curiosity beckons them as it goes forward without much of a thought. It phases through the wall revealing on the other side a church with a graveyard where it sees the dead spirits wandering around but some just sit in one place. It ignores them and goes in through the wall of the church as he sort of heard noises coming from within the building. Looking inside the church he notices that a blonde haired woman is about to give birth.

The figure watches them and notices that none of them can see it. So it moves closer and closer until it's above the girl struggling to give birth. It looks at the girl's pregnant belly with curiosity as it looks at the baby's soul. That's when it reaches out to the soul and kills it before suddenly entering the body of the baby. It couldn't hear nor see anything, but it suddenly sees a bright light so it pulls itself towards it. As the light gets closer and closer he starts hearing more and more. Soon enough it opens its eyes to the girl who is now looking down at him with a happy smile.

"His name shall be Aaron."

Her voice sounded strangely angelic despite hearing her yell and screaming in pain moments ago. But then he suddenly hears another voice.

"he's got your hair."

It sounded calming but at the same time deep as well. He looks over and sees a man walking towards him. The man had short messy hair and blue eyes while the girl had long blonde hair and light green eyes. He stares silently at the both of them.

(Weird.)

This causes him to jump in the girl's arms. He heard a voice in his head.

(What was that?)

He frantically looks around confused as to what's happening. Both the man and the girl start laughing at his movements. He stares at the both of them as his voice comes out.

"uah!"

The two laugh even more than they already were. He yells even more for them to stop laughing but it ultimately causes them to laugh even more.

(Stop laughing at me!)

This went on for most of the day.

Five years later

Aaron stands in front of a mirror, and behind him sits his mother, who he found out was Alicia.

"You ready to go to the church school today, Aaron? "

Aaron, too mesmerized by his looks, quietly nods. Alicia was cutting his hair so that it didn't look messy or too long.

"Hey mom."

Alicia looked up from his hair at him using the mirror.

"Yes sweetie?"

Aaron hesitated slightly before speaking again.

"Are you sure it's fine for me to go there?"

He slightly looked down, not sure why he asked this question. His mother on the other hand though stopped cutting his hair.

"Yes, sweetie. I'm sure you'll fit in well."

She puts away the scissors, though Aaron stares at them remembering what happened three years ago.

When Aaron was only two he didn't really do anything other than explore the house he lived in, as he did prior before entering this body.

But one day while they were having a picnic. Both his mother and father were too distracted to notice that Aaron had wandered over to the edge of the forest. Coming out of said forest and approaching him was a large gray wolf. It got closer and closer until they were just right in front of each other. Aaron looked up at the large wolf which looked to be the size of carriage. But he notices something off about the wolf, a single red string of thread coming off its head. He saw the same one other parts of its body, but the strings were yellow instead.

The wolf slowly opened its mouth towards Aaron, but this didn't faze him the slightest as curiosity took over him. His hand slowly reached to one of the yellow strings that was attached to one of its legs. He was able to grab hold of the string but at the same time the wolf bit deep into his shoulder. But the wolf noticed something strange, even though it's biting into his shoulder he's not showing any pain whatsoever, almost like he doesn't feel it.

Aaron grabs the yellow string and pulls on it. At first nothing happened. Then he pulled again, nothing happened. Again and again he pulled, but nothing happened. But then he pulled with all of his strength. Blood splatters all over his face. The wolf suddenly pulls back its ears folded back as its left leg is now missing. It stumbles around, turning around and running away.

Aaron watches this happen confusedly.

"Where are you going? I'm not done yet"

The wolf looked back at him looking at that innocent looking face paired with his child sounding voice. It tried running in fear, the wolf didn't know what happened. All it knew was that one of its legs was gone, reduced to a bloody mess. It howled, trying to find help to get away from this child. It crept up upon a clearing in the middle of the forest, meanwhile; Aaron slowly walked, following the blood trail the wolf left behind. He then found the wolf soon after, but it wasn't alone. There looked to be at least 20 wolves in the clearing. The large gray wolf stayed in the back happily watching as the other smaller wolves protected it from that thing.

During this time both of Aaron's parents are looking for him calling out his name almost every five seconds or more.

"Damn it. Why didn't we pay attention to him? Aaron!"

The man's voice stumbled in anger and worry.

"What if it's too late? He might have.."

Tears began to well up in Alicia's eyes.

The man held her close.

"No, I wouldn't let that ever happen to our child."

They suddenly hear the howl of a wolf. They both looked up and then to each other. Without thinking twice the two ran towards the direction of the howl. They both increase their speed worried over the wellbeing of their child. They suddenly come across a blood trail that stops them completely. The man reaches down to touch the blood.

"It's fresh"

The man looks up at Alicia, her face worried but also angered.

"We should hurry."

They follow the blood trail and stop completely as they look at the scene in front of them.

Aaron stands over bodies of wolves with their heads and legs missing in exchange for blood splattering all over the area. In front of him was the gray wolf, frozen with fear. It didn't think that he would kill all of them so easily and ruthlessly. If the gray wolf was able to speak and describe him, he would've called him a Demon. That was its last thought before it was killed without hesitation.
