Chapter 16 - Chapter 16- Collision At Midnight

Collision at Midnight

The city slept—or pretended to.

Dominic's team moved like shadows, vehicles slipping silently through dark streets, weapons ready.

"This is it," Dominic said, voice low, tense. He glanced at Liam, whose hand brushed against his. "Stay close. And don't move unless I tell you."

"I'm not leaving," Liam whispered, pressing closer. "Not now."

Dominic's jaw tightened. "I don't know if that's brave… or stupid."

"Maybe both," Liam said, smirking despite the tension.

At the warehouse where the mafia had been spotted, the first strike hit. Bullets shattered glass. Shadows twisted. Chaos erupted instantly.

Marco shielded Noah behind a crate. "Don't move," he whispered.

"I won't," Noah said, gripping Marco's arm, heart hammering. Fear mixed with the heat of their earlier connection, making every touch electric.

A stray bullet hit the metal behind them. Marco's fingers brushed Noah's, lingering far too long. Noah's lips curved, tension breaking into need.

Sebastian and Jax were already in the thick of it on the roof.

"Stay low!" Sebastian barked, tackling an attacker silently.

Jax moved beside him, agile, dangerous, heartbeat syncing with Sebastian's. Every touch, every brush of skin, was heightened by danger. Their hands met briefly—then locked, tension melting into desire they could no longer deny.

Dominic moved through the chaos like a predator, Liam never far from his side.

"You're reckless!" Dominic snapped mid-battle, though his grip on Liam was firm and possessive.

"And you like it," Liam countered, ducking behind Dominic as gunfire ricocheted.

Dominic's lips brushed Liam's ear. "You have no idea how close I came to losing you."

"I'm here," Liam whispered, pressing a soft kiss to Dominic's shoulder. "And I'm not going anywhere."

Every movement, every breath, was edged with danger—and desire.

The fight ended as quickly as it began. Silence fell over the warehouse, broken only by ragged breaths.

Dominic and Liam leaned against each other, sweat mingling, hearts racing.

"You could have been killed," Dominic said, voice low, fierce.

"I knew you'd save me," Liam said, voice soft.

Dominic's hand trailed over Liam's jaw, then his neck. "You belong to me," he whispered, dark, unyielding.

"And you belong to me," Liam said, leaning up for a deep, claiming kiss.

Elsewhere:

Marco & Noah: kissed in shadow, hands intertwined, fear and desire coiling together into something electric.

Sebastian & Jax: breathless, flushed, fingers still entwined after surviving danger, lust and trust forming a bond no words could express.

Eli & Victor: exchanged a knowing glance in the aftermath, loyalty and attraction merging in the quiet shadows.

Midnight was no longer temptation.

It was fire.

It was desire sharpened by danger.

It was the moment they all realized they would never go back.
