Chapter 100 - Chapter 100: The Priestess Bought Off with a Dish

"This feeling..." Neji looked at the shadow, feeling a chill down his spine. It could actually interfere with his ability to become untouchable, and more importantly, Neji felt like it didn't belong to this world!

"How is this possible?!" Neji was on edge. A soul that doesn't belong to the ninja world... is it like him?

"No, it's too evil. It seems to have existed for ages, and besides, what world would have such a dirty soul?!" Neji's Byakugan opened wide, chakra leaking out as he prepared to fight. But even with the Byakugan, it looked the same to the naked eye.

"So it was like this from the start... Damn it, no matter what you are, how dare you enter my space. You must be ready for what's coming." Neji growled softly, already making hand signs. Without any information, he wouldn't recklessly use physical attacks.

"Heh heh heh heh..."

The shadow laughed. It was weird and terrifying, twisting souls. This was scary, and it was all because the shadow was too evil. But Neji didn't seem to notice.

"I never thought someone else could come to a different space like me. But, oh, that's right, we're not in the same space, so you can't hear me. But this is interesting, very interesting."

The shadow shook wildly, laughing excitedly. "I can feel that my seal is about to break. When it does, I'll come find you."

Neji stared tensely at the shadow, only seeing it shake. Even flames passed right through it. Neji now understood that this was just their spaces interfering with each other, causing a reflection. They were actually in different spaces and couldn't attack each other.

After a while, the shadow slowly faded away, but Neji became even more worried. So he left the space to figure out where he was.

"Mind's Eye of the Kagura!"

Neji held his hands up in front of his eyes, and powerful sensing ability instantly covered the area.

"This is... I see, it's next to the Land of Snow." Neji murmured. He could sense that the Land of Snow wasn't far away, but that made him even more concerned.

"This seems to be a small country." Neji's sensing ability was incredibly strong, completely covering the country, but he didn't know where he was.

"I have to figure out what's happening."

Then, Neji walked toward the closest person to ask for information.

Down in a valley, a small stream flowed gently. A young girl with light yellow hair dipped her small feet into the stream, kicking listlessly with a pout, splashing water everywhere.

"Being a priestess is the worst."

She did the same thing every day, facing an empty shrine. No one played with her, and she had to carry heavy responsibilities that weren't fit for her age. She even had to sneak out of the shrine...

The girl pouted, very unhappy with her situation, and kept kicking up splashes of water as if it could calm her down.

Then, she heard footsteps. She looked up, and her beautiful purple eyes met the eyes of the person coming toward her.

But almost at the same time, she pulled her feet back and angrily walked away, muttering, "Okay, okay, I'm leaving."

Neji stopped, surprised as the girl tossed her hair and walked away. Even though his Byakugan might look a little strange to normal people, he wasn't ugly, was he? What was the point of her turning around and leaving?

Neji's forehead creased with black lines. He flashed in front of the girl, blocking her path.

"W-What do you want?" The girl was startled by the Byakugan boy suddenly appearing in front of her, and asked nervously.

"Where is this place?" Neji didn't want to waste time talking to her. The scary shadow had put a lot of pressure on him.

No, it wasn't so much the shadow, but where it came from. Creatures from other spaces weren't common in the Hokage world.

"Hmph!" The girl coldly snorted. She couldn't stand Neji's harsh tone. Her temper flared up, and she sat down cross-legged, crossed her arms, and bossily said, "I'm hungry. Get me something to eat."

"I..." Neji told himself that she was just a little girl and he shouldn't argue with her. He reached into his system space and took out a plate of fish, handing it to her.

Why fish? No way would Neji treat his stomach badly. Ninjas only had to suffer when they had no choice. Someone like him with a system space could prepare ahead of time, so why would he be like them?

Besides, he had the Hyuga clan and the Land of Snow backing him up. He couldn't just let them sit there, could he?

The girl watched Neji magically make hot food out of nowhere, her eyes sparkling. Without waiting for Neji to speak, she took the fish and started eating it quickly.

"Delicious, delicious." The girl seemed very happy, saying happily, and quickly finished the whole plate of fish.

"Now can you tell me where this is?"

Neji asked again, but he didn't expect the system to answer instead of the girl.

"Host feeds Shion fish, receives reward: [Sealing Stone]."

Sealing Stone: A red stone with extremely strong sealing power, able to seal most of the wearer's power, but also protects the wearer.

Shion handed the empty plate back to Neji and said in a very satisfied voice, "I'm full. Go wash the plate."

She patted her stomach, and now looked at Neji with a kind expression.

Neji stared blankly at the girl. He couldn't deny that he was shocked. Who was this? The priestess of the Land of Demons, the only person in the ninja world who could seal demons from another world.

Now everything made sense. The shadow interfering with him was the future [Otherworld Demon - Moryo]. He had accidentally come to the Land of Demons.

Looking at the priestess who had been bought off with a dish, Neji suddenly felt like this world wasn't real.

But!

"Have some respect!" Neji grabbed the plate and shattered it in his hand, angrily telling Shion.

He wasn't the Neji from this world, who would be respectful and obedient to Shion. He felt like he needed to teach Shion a lesson.
