Two weeks had passed since the trip to the Abyss. Two weeks since the conversation with Angel, and since everything had started moving faster than Thomas had expected.
Now his life had a different rhythm. Thomas slowly opened his eyes and straightened up.

The apartment was quiet. Morning light barely filtered through the window. Thomas grabbed his phone from the nightstand.
Checking messages had become part of his daily routine. For the past two weeks, he had practically started every day the same way.
He looked at the screen and opened his transfers, bank notifications, and deposits. Thomas slid his finger across the screen while checking the amounts.
"One hundred twenty… fifteen… thirty…"
He sighed in satisfaction. Over the past two weeks, he had devoted himself almost entirely to one thing: making money.
