Rama woke before dawn, unable to sleep.

"You're awake early," she murmured.
"Couldn't sleep."
"Nervous about telling me your big secret?"
"A little."
She sat up, suddenly more alert. "Today's the day? You're actually going to tell me?"
"Yes. But not here. Not in the apartment." He'd already planned this. "There's a place I want to take you. Somewhere private. Somewhere we can talk without interruption."
"Sounds ominous."
"It's important. Trust me?"
She searched his face, then nodded. "Always."
