A week passed…
Alright guys, you ready for us to go on our next adventure?
"Ready as well ever be," Lyra replied.
Well then, let's get going.
Then Aerin and his team all began to sprint north…
This trip is around 888,000 kilometers, guys, so it will take us around 2 months.
"Really, that far? How big is this world?" Lio asked.
As far as I could gather, it's around 1,500,000 square kilometers big.
"Huh? Really?" Lyra asked.
Yep, at least that's what Léōn told me a while back.
"That's crazy!" Lio said, still shocked.
Well guys, it's going to be a long trip. I hope you're all rested and ready.
5 days later…
Alright, we'll stop here and take a break. There is a nice pond to bathe in, and there is a small river to catch some fish.
"Alright," the rest of the team said, exhausted from the constant five days of sprinting.
I'll set up camp. Y'all take a bath and work on catching some fish.
After the camp was all set up…
Y'all catch anything?
"Nope, no luck," Lio replied.
Let me just see where the fish are then.
Then Aerin closed his eyes and focused on the fish, then he saw all the fish within a hundred kilometer radius…
There are two there, four there, and one there.
Then Aerin sent a small needle towards each of the fish and hit the fish cleanly in the spine, paralyzing them…
The fish should be coming down the stream any minute now. If you don't mind, could you grab them?
Then Aerin walked away towards the pond to take a bath as Lio and Lyra stood there dumbfounded…
Hey sorry to disturb you, you mind if I take a bath too?
"No, go ahead," Aelira replied.
Then Aerin got in the pond and began to scrub his body…
"So, hunny, when do you want to take the next step in our relationship?" Aelira asked timidly.
What do you mean?
"You know, make a little one," Aelira said.
I'm not sure, hunny, but I'm sure once we figure things out on Earth, we can.
"You're right, we should figure things out first," Aelira said sadly.
Hunny, it's not that I don't love you or want to take the next step in our relationship. I just want our child to be safe and happy.
Then Aerin got out of the pond and started to get dressed as Aelira did the same…
As the couple went back to the camp, they started smelling something delicious…
They must be cooking the fish already.
Well done, you guys. Those fish smell amazing.
"Well then, pick one up and eat it," Lio said.
Alright.
Munch!
Mmm, that's amazing.
Later that night after everyone had eaten…
Alright you guys, get some rest. I'll keep watch.
"Alright, see you in the morning," Lio and Lyra said, unbothered.
But Aelira felt that something was off, so she stayed by Aerin's side…
"What's wrong, hunny?" Aelira asked.
I can't help but feel that there is a great evil growing. I don't know if it's on this planet or on another, but it's strong. Stronger than me and stronger than any mortal being I've met.
"Well, worry about it later. Evil has no power to make us worry when we have all that we could ever want. I have you and you have me, I'm content with that and it's more than I could ever want," Aelira said as she slowly fell asleep on Aerin's shoulder.
Yeah, but I can't help but feel like that evil is targeting me.
I'm sorry, Aelira. I just can't not worry about it when I want to protect you with my life.
As night turned to morning, everyone gradually woke up as our main character sat there in thought…
"Aerin, Aerin, Aerin!" Lio said, trying to get our main character's attention.
Then…
Wack!
Ouch, what was that for?
"I've been calling your name for 30 minutes. We are ready to go," Lio said.
Alright, let me just wake up.
Then Aerin looked to his side and Aelira wasn't there…
"You looking for me?" Aelira said, standing next to Lyra.
"Ya, I got up a good 45 minutes ago," Aelira said with a giggle.
Well shit, I must have been in my own little world.
My bad, guys.
Let's go.
And our main character and his team resumed their journey north to the portal that will supposedly lead them to Earth…but what is this great evil Aerin is sensing? Why does he feel it targeting him? Why is it appearing now? Find out soon…
To be continued…
