It's been ten minutes, and I still can't get over the fact that I'm now in another world.
I'm not ignorant of the isekai trend in fiction, especially manga, light novels, manhwa, and the rest. In fact, it's one of my favorite categories of fanfiction. But even then, I never thought it would change from being a fan of the genre to actually being part of it.
If I had known, I wouldn't have given the suggestion on the post on Reddit asking for new fanfiction ideas last night.
After all, who wants to live the rest of their life as the son of a mentally disturbed businessman in a universe where every week some new danger appears and threatens mass destruction? One day a devil is trying to conquer the world, another day a rogue AI is trying to bring peace by wiping out all life, one second a purple sweet potato is snapping half the universe away to impress his crush, and the next second some alternate version of someone is destroying the multiverse.
So yes.
I am now Harry Osborn in the MARVEL as I wrote it yesterday.
What are the odds of that?
Sighing, I focused on Harry's memories. I need to know more about him and this world through his perspective. There's no time for complaining.
Spider-Man is already pretty famous, and with Peter's regular absences from class and the bruises he keeps trying to hide, it's not difficult to connect the dots. He looks like Andrew just a little smaller.
But I don't look like Dane or James, and we aren't even friends like in most stories. Ironically, this version of Harry is closer to Flash.
Maybe this is some AU I don't know about. I haven't read many comics, but the time I've spent on fandom pages educated me on most of the key details.
The multiverse is vast.
So are the possibilities.
Which is both cool and worrying.
Who's to say there isn't a version of Harry out there who wants to kill every other Harry in existence?
That would be a problem.
It would be a much bigger problem if I were completely powerless. Fortunately, I'm not.
One good thing I did while filling out that Reddit form was asking for a cheat for the MC. Given my current situation, I should have one. Let's see if it's there.
"GACHA?"
The moment the word left my mouth, a holographic screen flickered into existence in front of me, floating calmly in midair as if it had always been there, just waiting for me to notice it.
I reached out instinctively, but my hand passed straight through it, rippling the air like it wasn't part of normal space at all.
Interesting.
Text hovered across the screen, Points, Modes, Exchange, and a few other options and the instant I focused on them, information flooded my mind.
The rules are simple.
I would receive one point every day. Three points could be exchanged for a single card, and that card could contain anything from the Omniverse be it abilities, items, knowledge, who knows what else.
There was another option too.
A World Mode, which sorts a card related specifically to the world I was currently in, but it cost double the points. Six points per card.
Fair, I guess.
Then came the part that made my eyebrows rise.
There was an exchange function, one USD for one point but with a hard limit of one hundred dollars per month.
I stared at that restriction for a moment.
…..I already hate it.
Still, limits or not, it was better than nothing.
Taking a slow breath, I leaned forward, grabbed harry wallet from the desk, and pulled out the cash. The second I thought about exchanging them, the money vanished from my hand without so much as a flicker.
The screen flickered once.
Points Updated.
My balance had increased.
After thinking for seconds I decided to go for world mode first. Marvel is one of the most dangerous universes out there. Super soldiers, mutants, cosmic entities, mad scientists, literal gods and so the probability of getting something useful is far more when compared to whole Omniverse I think if I narrowed the range.
I mentally selected the option and authorized the exchange.

Nothing OP, but still a good start since I got two character cards.
One of them is Spider-Man. With his power set, I'm already safe from most street-tier dangers. Super strength, enhanced agility, insane reflexes, and most importantly, Spider-Sense. That alone makes ambushes almost impossible.
I don't think I would hesitate to Assimilate him. It would raise my physical attributes to a superhuman level. Even if it's not top-tier, it's more than enough to survive early-game Marvel.
And survival comes first.
I wanted to check the other cards more deeply, but testing the normal mode felt necessary. If World Mode is targeted, then normal mode is pure randomness and randomness sometimes gives absurd returns.
So I spent thirty points here and left eleven for later.
The deduction happened immediately. Just like before, ten cards materialized in front of me.
Let's see what the Omniverse thinks I deserve.

Damian, huh… if I think about it, how quite opposite we… I mean Harry and he are. One is seen as a disappointment by his father for not being the perfect heir, while the other was trained to be a perfect heir from birth and was even successful, from my perspective. Whether it was inheriting the League or the Batman legacy, he was prepared for both.
It's almost ironic.
The numbers of abilities I may get should be most out of the three character cards I got from gacha. He is batman son after all.
