Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: A Fist as Big as a Sandbag

**Chapter 1: A Fist as Big as a Sandbag**

**Hargeon Town**

"Catch the thief! Catch the thief!" A man wearing a large white apron, dressed like a shop owner, shouted loudly as he chased after a small, skinny figure.

"? There's a thief!"

"Brat, stop right there!" Some helpful passersby reached out and grabbed the skinny figure's arm.

But in the next instant, "Whoosh!" A golden light flashed, and the small figure vanished without a trace.

"Damn it! It's that guy again!"

"Forget it! I can't do anything about him anyway. I'm just unlucky. At least that guy has principles—he rarely robs the same store twice."

The people around them weren't particularly surprised by the scene. They had clearly seen it many times before.

Shortly after, in a remote alley, golden light gathered and gradually formed a human shape. The face became clear—it was the thief who had just escaped from the crowd.

A boy who looked only eleven or twelve years old, with black hair and black eyes, and a slightly youthful, handsome face. However, his messy hair and unkempt appearance made him look like a little beggar.

At that moment, the boy held a fragrant roasted chicken in his hands. Staring at it, his mouth watered. Starving, he could no longer hold back and began devouring it in huge bites.

In no time, he had completely finished the roasted chicken.

"Burp~~! So satisfying~~! The taste is quite a bit better than yesterday's place, but still not as good as the one from three days ago."

The boy's name was Kaito. One month ago, he had been an ordinary third-rate university graduate on Earth. He looked down on low-paying jobs and was rejected from good ones. Working a regular job? Impossible. He would never work a regular job in his life.

So he returned to his hometown to farm, living as a carefree village bully. He would occasionally take things from his brothers' houses to bring home and enjoy a leisurely life. But unexpectedly, he crossed over to another world.

It happened on an idle day when he saw the pineapples his brother had planted were ripe. He picked a few to taste—they were delicious—so he decided to pick an entire cart to take back.

Then he noticed one completely golden pineapple that looked a bit strange. Without thinking much, he assumed it was a new variety, peeled it with his machete, and ate it in big bites.

The taste was so incredible that Kaito didn't even want to recall it. Right after, his vision went black. When he woke up, he was in this world, and his body had regressed to that of an eleven or twelve-year-old child.

He also learned that what he had eaten was a Devil Fruit from the world of One Piece—the Glint-Glint Fruit, one of the most powerful Logia-type Devil Fruits.

It was the very Devil Fruit used by Kizaru, one of the Three Admirals of the Marine Headquarters. He was stunned when he realized it. The Glint-Glint Fruit was among the absolute top tier even within the Logia class.

How could something like that grow in his brother's field? What kind of fortune did he have? Fortunately, he was the one who ate it. Only someone as talented and virtuous as him deserved such a Devil Fruit.

As for why the Glint-Glint Fruit appeared, why he crossed over, or why he became younger, he still had no idea.

Thankfully, he had always maintained a good habit: if he didn't understand something, he wouldn't overthink it. Well, that same habit was also the direct reason he never got into Tsinghua University.

If he hadn't crossed over, he wouldn't have known how hard a transmigrator's life could be. He originally thought he would live like the protagonists in stories, but reality had ruthlessly slapped him in the face.

The biggest problem he faced right after crossing over was—eating.

Before crossing, he didn't eat meat every meal, but he could always fill his stomach. He couldn't stand going hungry. So he had no choice but to take food from others.

Sigh! The people in this world were too unfriendly. He really missed his brothers back home. Besides their wives, he could take anything else.

Suddenly, a slightly aged voice rang out: "Hey, brat, stealing again?"

Kaito immediately denied it: "Stealing? Old man, do you have any evidence? Accusing innocent people without proof—be careful or I'll sue you for slander!"

As he spoke, Kaito turned his head to look at the person and froze for a moment.

It was a short old man less than one meter tall, wearing a comical clown hat on his head. Seeing it was just a small old man, Kaito felt much more relaxed.

"Stinky brat, still won't admit it? There are chicken bones right under your feet." Makarov pointed at the bones on the ground.

"Huh! Where did these chicken bones come from? Who is so unhygienic, throwing trash everywhere after eating?"

Black lines appeared on Makarov's forehead. Irritated, he said, "Stinky kid! Wipe the oil off your mouth before you speak."

Hearing this, Kaito quickly wiped his mouth clean with his sleeve, then repeated: "Huh! Where did these chicken bones come from? Who is so unhygienic, throwing trash everywhere after eating?"

Veins bulged on Makarov's forehead. He had told the boy to wipe his mouth first, and the brat really did it—then repeated the exact same line.

"Kid, why are you acting like this?"

Kaito blinked innocently: "Old man, I don't understand what you're saying. I have things to do, so I'll be going now."

"Stinky brat, if you don't explain yourself clearly today, you're not going anywhere." Makarov raised his hand to block Kaito's path.

Kaito was starting to get annoyed. He clenched his right fist and thrust it in front of Makarov's face threateningly: "Grandpa, have you seen a fist as big as a sandbag?"

"People your age should stay home nicely instead of running around outside. If you get lost, you'll only trouble your family."

"And don't imitate those so-called justice enforcers. Real justice only stands on the side that has power. A tiny old man like you—I can take on ten of them."

Hearing Kaito's words, a smile appeared on Makarov's face. He looked at the boy and said, "Stinky brat, I haven't seen a fist as big as a sandbag before, but I've seen plenty of fists as big as sandbags."

As he spoke, Makarov's body began to expand rapidly. In the blink of an eye, the small, skinny old man transformed into a giant over ten meters tall. Kaito was completely stunned.

Makarov clenched his massive fist and held it right in front of the dumbfounded Kaito, copying the boy's earlier expression: "Brat, have you seen a fist as big as a sandbag?"
