Chapter 48 - Chapter 48: Hogwarts Ki Magic Course

After dinner, Dumbledore began discussing the training plan for the school's young wizards with Goku.

Relying entirely on Goku to formulate a training plan was definitely not feasible. Although Goku was very powerful, he was too young and lacked teaching experience. To become a qualified teacher and guide the young wizards in their cultivation, he would still need some assistance from Dumbledore on the side.

After thoroughly understanding Goku's Turtle School training process, Dumbledore made some localized modifications. Finally, before ten o'clock, he completed the entire training plan proposal.

Once the plan was finalized, he sent Goku to the faculty dormitory to rest. He then wrote a notice and had a house-elf post it in the common rooms of the four Houses.

...

On the other side, the young wizards, who had finished a day of classes and eaten dinner in the Great Hall, had returned to their respective common rooms.

"I haven't seen Goku at all; I wonder how he's doing?"

In the Gryffindor common room, Harry's face showed some concern. Since Goku left with Dumbledore yesterday, they hadn't seen him again.

Ron, sitting next to him, speculated, "Yesterday, after the Sorting Ceremony ended, there was a lot of noise outside during the feast, and the professors all went out. I bet Goku was duelling Dumbledore. Since he hasn't shown up, he probably lost and then left."

"He hasn't left. I asked Professor McGonagall today, and she said Goku has been in the Headmaster's office," Hermione interjected, her expression a bit dejected. "He's really incredible. He's the same age as me, yet he could defeat two Heads of Houses and even duel Dumbledore."

On the train, she knew Goku was powerful, but she thought it was just the level of an upper-year wizard; she felt that if she studied hard after reaching school, she could definitely catch up. But now it seemed Goku's level was at the absolute top of the wizarding world; she might have to wait decades to catch up.

"Then do you think he'll still be at school attending classes with us?" Harry asked with a curious look.

Ron shook his head. "He's already that powerful; he probably won't attend classes with us anymore."

"He said he'd teach us his magic; I wonder if he still will," Hermione's face showed a hint of expectation.

Regarding what happened last night, it wasn't just the three of them who were familiar with Goku—wizards from first to seventh year across all of Hogwarts were discussing it. Even the young wizards near them now were still talking about Goku.

Currently, what could be confirmed was that the magic Goku used that day was magic they had never seen before; even the seventh-year wizards didn't recognize it. So everyone speculated that it might be a new magic uniquely created by Goku.

Or perhaps some powerful wizard created this new magic and then taught it to Goku. The latter was more likely; after all, Goku's age was still so small.

Precisely because of this, many young wizards had developed a great interest in this new magic. A twelve-year-old wizard who learned this magic could defeat two professors; one could see how powerful this new magic was. Crucially, they had witnessed the battle themselves and seen the entire roof of the Great Hall blown away.

However, some young wizards were dismissive of it. They felt that during the fight, Professor McGonagall and Professor Snape were mindful that Goku was a child, so they didn't use their full strength. Furthermore, the fight was stopped in the end, so it couldn't be said that Goku had won against the two professors.

As for the duel with Dumbledore, one didn't even need to think to know he couldn't possibly win. Additionally, the fighting style of the new magic was very inelegant and did not suit the status of noble wizards. These comments mainly came from the pure-blood young wizards of Slytherin; they couldn't accept that their Head of House had lost to a child of unknown origin and bloodline.

"Oh, Merlin's beard! Everyone, come look!"

Just then, an exclamation suddenly came from the common room. Harry and the other two turned to look and found everyone heading toward the notice board. A new notice had been posted there at some unknown time.

Curious, the three of them stood up and gathered around:

"Notice: Hogwarts is adding a Ki Magic course, starting every Saturday at 6:00 AM. The teacher for this course is Hogwarts Guest Professor Son Goku. This course is voluntary; students from first to seventh year may sign up with their Prefects."

...

At the same time, in the Headmaster's office.

"Although the Board of Governors expressed objections to appointing a twelve-year-old professor, the proposal for the new magic course was finally passed," Snape reported to Dumbledore.

Dumbledore nodded; this was within his expectations. The Board of Governors was an institution established by well-known wizards in the wizarding world specifically to supervise and balance the power of the Hogwarts Headmaster.

It held powers such as appointing or dismissing the Headmaster, handling parental complaints, and deciding major school policies (such as whether to continue operations).

If the school suddenly hired an obscure twelve-year-old wizard to be a professor, teaching a brand-new magic that was unheard of, the parents of some young wizards might complain to the Board of Governors once they found out. So he had sent Snape on a trip in advance, relying on his years of prestige and some of Snape's connections to resolve the issues beforehand.

"Dumbledore, is such a course really okay?" Professor McGonagall looked at the curriculum content for Saturday's Ki Magic class, her tone full of doubt.

She didn't quite understand why Dumbledore trusted the magic of a child of unknown origin so much, even letting that child become a professor. Moreover, regarding this curriculum content, she felt it had absolutely nothing to do with magic and might even harm the young wizards' bodies.

"Don't worry, there is no problem with this course. I will also be there to assist Professor Goku with the teaching," Dumbledore replied with a smile.

Dumbledore hadn't told anyone about Goku's origin, because once leaked, it might cause immense trouble. This was a way to protect Goku and also a way to protect the wizarding world.

"Alright then. However, I suggest having Madam Pomfrey on-site and ready at all times," Professor McGonagall said. Once she heard Dumbledore would be there, a large part of her worry vanished. However, she still proposed having Madam Pomfrey, who specialized in healing, present so that any injuries to the young wizards could be treated immediately.

"Don't worry, I have already spoken with Madam Pomfrey," Dumbledore nodded, then turned to look at Snape. "Severus, I hope you will take the time to research some potions that can enhance physical constitution and endurance."

Snape frowned but still nodded. In his heart, he didn't quite agree with the young wizards being distracted by learning some ki magic and fighting in close-quarters combat like Muggle warriors. But since Dumbledore felt it was correct, he would support it unconditionally, because he trusted Dumbledore.
