Chapter 7 - Tunnel of Hell

The motorcycles roared behind the car at insane speed, cutting through the silence with the furious growl of their engines, while their tires harshly scraped the asphalt, sending violent vibrations through the riders' bodies. Jaber noticed the pursuit behind him and gripped the steering wheel tighter, the lights reflecting coldly in his eyes. Jaber: Who are these? Are they police? I don't think so. It doesn't matter… if necessary, I'll kill them. Hidara shouted into the wind as he pushed his speed higher, his body leaning forward, defying the resistance of the air: "Don't let him escape!" Anger consumed Neil. He clenched his teeth so hard it almost hurt, his eyes never leaving the speedometer, which climbed at a terrifying pace, as he said in a trembling voice: "I've locked onto his trail… he's increasing speed in a terrifying way!" An epic chase began, and the motorcycles trembled under their immense power. Hidara and Neil pushed their engines to the absolute limit, the motors howling sharply, while the cold air slapped their faces harshly, making visibility harder with each passing second. Jaber: What? Seriously? Aaaagh… ah… for now, I'll just escape. He exploited his demonic skill in maneuvering, suddenly swerving into a narrow side passage with a sudden and dangerous move, then surged at maximum speed over a shattered sidewalk, smashing everything in his path without hesitation, shards scattering behind him. Neil: "He's insane… he drove onto the sidewalk!" Hidara: "Don't fall back! Stay behind him wherever he goes!" Jaber broke out of the traffic with his car, tearing through the road like a wild beast, then steadied in the street with frightening stability, as if the car were an extension of his own body. He looked into the rearview mirror and saw the two motorcycles still chasing him like shadows, refusing to give up. Jaber: What now? Should I go back and kill them? Hmm… fine, I'll be late for the boss. Jaber increased his speed further, the car shaking under the force, and swerved toward the tunnel leading to the city center. The car vanished for seconds before the dark tunnel entrance swallowed it like the mouth of a beast waiting for its prey. Hidara shouted over the roar of the engine: "He's heading into the tunnel!" Neil, his knuckles whitening as he gripped the handlebars: "Don't let him go… no matter what!" Jaber's car entered the tunnel, and the boys followed without hesitation. The dim lights flickered above their heads intermittently, while the echo of the engines slammed against the concrete walls, creating a terrifying clamor that intensified the tension in their hearts. Inside the car, a sinister, insane smile spread across Jaber's face as he saw their unbroken determination. He whispered to himself with a low, devilish laugh: "They have beautiful determination… fine, show me how you'll deal with this." He calmly extended his hand and pulled out a firearm, his movements steady and without hesitation. At that critical moment, a massive transport truck carrying flammable cargo came in the opposite direction, unaware of the impending danger. Neil shouted in terror, his voice echoing through the tunnel: "Hidara, watch out! He has a weapon!" Hidara's eyes widened in horror, a chill running through his body: "No… don't do it!" But Jaber pulled the trigger mercilessly. The bullet pierced the truck's tire, causing it to lose balance and violently swerve into the tunnel wall, shaking the place violently. Then, one second was enough for the tunnel to erupt in flames and thick smoke, the deafening sound sending shivers through the body and shaking the spirit before the flesh. Hidara screamed in despair: "Stop! Stop!" Neil tried to control his motorcycle as he shouted helplessly: "Damn it… damn it!" The flames stretched behind them like a predator chasing its prey, filling the suffocating space, while Jaber disappeared deeper into the tunnel without looking back. Hidara: What do I do? We're in trouble… I have to stop it… I must reduce the impact of the crash. The two motorcycles slammed into the ground with tremendous force. Hidara and Rin's bike skidded several meters across the asphalt, leaving sharp sparks before flipping violently. Hidara was thrown forward, his body hitting the ground harshly, but he instinctively rolled to protect Rin, his shoulder smashing hard against the concrete barrier before finally stopping. Ash covered his clothes, and the heat of the flames had scorched his arms and burned his skin. Rin fell beside him, her hands trembling uncontrollably, her knee bleeding, her face covered in soot as she coughed violently from the smoke that filled her lungs. As for Neil, he rolled onto his side, blood flowing from his forehead mixed with dust, a sharp ringing in his ears, and intense pain in his shoulder… yet he remained conscious despite the agony. Heavy seconds passed like mountains before they realized they were still alive, surviving by a miracle. Jaber looked back and burst into a strange, frightening laugh before fleeing without remorse. Jaber: You didn't even deserve my attention… fools.

Hidara stood up with difficulty, his body trembling from pain and exhaustion, and said, gasping: "He almost got us… that bastard.

If I hadn't been wearing a helmet on my head, I would have suffered a serious head injury. Also, if I hadn't stopped the bike at the right moment, I would be dead now! Then he turned quickly, his heart trembling with fear: "Rin… are you okay? Are you hurt?" Rin shook her head, trying to compose herself despite the pain: "I'm fine… just minor scratches, don't worry." Hidara rushed to her and hugged her tightly, as if afraid she might vanish, tears shining in his eyes without him noticing: "Thank God you're okay…" Rin pushed him lightly, embarrassed, trying to hide her fluster: "Idiot… I'm fine, I'm not that weak." Suddenly, Rin's eyes fell on Hidara, seeing his reddened skin and clear burn marks on his arm and neck, her heart trembling. She cried out in a trembling voice: "Hidara! Your hand! You have burns… we must treat you immediately!" Hidara looked at his burned arm calmly. Hidara: This? It's nothing… compared to what I'll suffer later if I don't hurry. Rin trembled, clutching his clothes nervously with fear: "Don't say that! Burns are serious… we must call an ambulance now!" Hidara smiled reassuringly despite the pain, raising his hand to gently pat her head: "Don't worry, Rin… everything will be fine." Rin: "Hidara, don't push yourself, Hidara. Don't act like you don't feel pain, you're really hurt!" Hidara: "Rin, look." He pointed toward the burning truck wreckage: "Call an ambulance, there might be someone who needs help… more than me." Rin took out her phone with a trembling hand, never taking her worried gaze off him: "Okay… don't worry." Then she looked toward the destroyed truck and said in a low voice: "The driver… he might still be there." As sirens gradually approached, Neil stood up with difficulty, brushing dust and blood off his clothes, then approached and said with a teasing humor despite his condition: "Lovebirds… love and care, and no one asks about me!" Hidara and Rin smiled shyly, avoiding eye contact, while Neil continued laughing: "How sad… I don't have someone who cares about me. Anyway, don't worry… the device is still sending the signal… he's heading toward the city center." Hidara clenched his fist tightly, eyes full of determination, and looked toward the end of the tunnel. He whispered in a low voice: "This time… you won't escape, and I will save you, Shadi." Then he raised his voice slightly as he whispered into the distance, as if speaking directly to him: "Wait for me." If you've reached this point, know that you're a true reader.
