Chapter 28 - chapter 28

The sun had already set completely when Elyra and I left the garden. Her hand was still intertwined with mine, warm and soft, as if we had never stopped being those children who used to run among the flowers. We walked slowly through the torch-lit corridors, without hurry, without forced words. Only the soft sound of our footsteps and the occasional rustle of her white robe against the floor.

"Do you remember when your mother caught us hiding under the willow and scolded us because we thought we were invisible?"

Elyra asked with a nostalgic smile.

I let out a low laugh.

"Of course I do. My mother… Lilia… always said you were like the daughter she never had. She loved you so much. She used to bring you sweets from the village every time you came to the castle and would brush your white hair as if you were a princess."

Elyra lowered her gaze, touched.

"She was so good to me… She made me feel like part of the family. And your father… he always told me that one day I would be a great warrior and that I would take care of you. He made me promise never to leave you alone."

Her words hit me in the chest. I remembered my parents as they used to be before all this:

strong, united, full of life. Now my mother was in the Asura Sect, turned into a whore, and my father… I didn't even know if he was still living as a man or as a slave.

But that night, with Elyra by my side, I decided to keep all of that to myself.

We reached the private dining room. The servants had already set the table for just the two of us: lit candles, white tablecloth, fine porcelain plates, and fresh flowers in the center. It looked like a romantic dinner, not a dinner between a prince and a Saint.

Elyra sat across from me, smiling shyly.

"It feels… like we're a real couple," she whispered, blushing slightly.

I smiled too, even though I felt a knot inside.

"Tonight, let's just be Allen and Elyra. No titles. No wedding promises. Just us."

The dinner passed like a dream. We talked about everything and nothing. We remembered the races through the hedge maze, the times we hid in the library to read together, the nights we sneaked onto the roof to watch the stars. Elyra laughed with that clear, pure laugh that had always calmed my soul.

At one point, several guards passing through the outer hallway stopped for a second. They looked at Elyra—her massive breasts softly outlined under the white robe, her silver-white hair glowing in the candlelight—and then looked at me with mocking, knowing smiles. One of them even raised an eyebrow and nodded slightly, as if saying "good choice, prince."

I felt my small 6 cm cock harden instantly inside my pants, pressing against the fabric. The image of them imagining Elyra being used, of them laughing at me for being with such a beautiful Saint… aroused me in a sick way. I had to squeeze my thighs and pretend everything was normal, smiling at Elyra as if nothing was happening.

She didn't notice. Or at least she pretended not to.

"Allen…" she said suddenly, lowering her voice. "Things have changed a lot at the Church. The High Priest himself took me as his direct disciple. He trained me personally. Now I'm at King rank. Can you believe it? Me, who was always the weakest in combat classes… now I can face elite knights."

Her eyes shone with innocent pride.

"My master, the High Priest, is a Grand Saint. They say he is the pinnacle of humanity, the closest to the Goddess. He taught me absolute control of my sacred power, how to purify corruption, how to protect the weak… He's an incredible man. Strict, but fair. Thanks to him I was able to come see you."

I looked at her in silence. Elyra, the pure Saint, at King rank at her age… while I, the crown prince, hadn't advanced a single level in months. My power was still stagnant. My body was marked by humiliations. My mind… broken.

"You're incredible, Elyra," I said sincerely.

"You always were."

She blushed and lowered her gaze, happy.

The dinner ended too soon. The servants cleared the plates and we said goodbye in the hallway. Elyra gave me another soft kiss on the cheek, this time closer to my lips.

"Good night, Allen. Tomorrow we'll keep

talking. Rest… you look tired."

"Good night, Elyra."

When I reached my room and closed the door, I was left alone in the darkness.

I sat on the bed, my heart still beating hard from the night with her. For the first time in a long time, I had felt something beautiful, something clean.

But the darkness always returns.

I opened the System with a thought.

The blue screen glowed in front of my eyes.

[Loading rewards for completed mission…] [Successful delivery of your mother, Queen Lilia, to the Asura Sect…]

[Successful delivery of your future wife, Aiz, to Duke Wallenstein (her own father)…]

[Calculating rewards…]

I stared at the screen, breathing hard, while the System processed everything I had delivered.
