"What did she say?" Ethan asked as he saw Clara walking toward him alone.
Clara sighed. "She said she'll join in a bit."
Ethan clicked his tongue. "Why can't she be obedient to her duty?"
Hannah tried to calm him down. "The meeting begins in an hour. I'm sure she'll be there on time."
Ethan shook his head. "No. You two go ahead. I'll bring her with me."
Clara's heart sank. "Why are you worried about her? She isn't a child."
"Yes, but she definitely is a fool," he replied sternly, silencing Clara.
The pink-haired girl's fingers curled around her books instinctively as she watched Ethan's retreating back.
Hannah sighed and rested a hand on her friend's shoulder. "I think you need to first make him realize that you are a woman..."
