The locations she sent him were all relatively close to communities or marketplaces. Kyle understood the logic behind it. These areas were not isolated enough for rifts to appear frequently, yet not crowded enough for him to be easily noticed.
He chose the one that seemed best suited for training. It was a small, abandoned park in the western district, sealed off after multiple molestation reports.
With his hands tucked into his pockets, Kyle stepped into the park. He wore a different mask this time, one that fully covered his face, with two grey strips running down the eye slits.
He knew the change might not matter much, since rogue Nightwalkers rarely appeared. Still, better safe than sorry.
As he reached the inner section, he asked, 'Can you check the area for cameras and Genesis sensors?'
