Despite feeling like no time 5 months had passed since his last encounter with Victoria, as well as the near-death experience.
There was still a month or so until he could officially join the magic association.
For that time, that building had been embedded into his dreams, every single night it would haunt him.
He thought it would pass by; But soon concluded that it was going to continue to stay.
The questions of what it could mean and why always lingered at the back of his mind.
Being face to face with the building was likely the only way he could get answers. That's why Luicien decided he needed to go back, so he had packed his things to travel to the purple lake forest.
He's eyes met with themselves in the mirror, scanning his usual jacket, cross necklace and now his army styled bag.
Pushing open his front door confirmed the start of his journey.
The centre of the town was always nice to look at, it was not big at all, his town itself did not contain riches.
But it was enough.
Laying in the centre was a fountain, with clean water which always shined, no matter if it was winter or summer.
The magic properties made it so it wouldn't frost over in winter.
A person with long rain coloured hair that was that mid way with a giant hair tie, that had a unique sword coloured like clouds, sat at the fountain.
Luicien ran over to him.
"Mika you're here!".
His voice had excitement in it.
Mika got up from the fountain.
"Of course, Luicien, I'll always help"
He said while picking up his sword.
"After all that's what brothers are for"
He added while fist bumping Luicien.
The bond they shared bound them together, like an everlasting flame that didn't die down even in the rain. Their blood was no of the same family, yet that made no difference. They were brothers.
Mika slung his bag onto his shoulder.
"Where is it you need to get to? You didn't really give me many details".
Luicien rubbed his head.
"Sorry about that Mika, I need to go to the Purple lake forest".
"The purple lake forest? But why there, that's far away".
Luicien looked down and breathed in.
"You're right, it is far, but I need to go there."
Luicien paused for a moment before speaking again,
"Not long ago, I was transported there through the means of magic I think, ever since then I've been having dreams about it, I think it has a meaning, but that's why I want to go, I want to find out".
Mika rubbed his chin.
"All on some dreams, eh?".
Luicien looked up to the sky.
"You're right, I know it sounds ridiculous, but I need to know."
He then looked back to Mika with a determined look.
Mika patted Luicien's back.
"Anything's possible, I'll back you one hundred percent".
He then gave Luicien a smile.
Luicien gained some form of hope.
"Thank you, that means alot to me".
The two of them all smiled, then put their hands on top of each other, to then raise them in the air.
Mika looked to the side for a moment to think.
"Since it's a long travel, we'll have to stop at multiple towns, villages maybe even cities".
"That is true, it'll be a lot of money"
Luicien mentioned.
Mika thought for a moment.
"How much do you have?".
Luicien pulled out a small pouch and started counting.
"I'm at 70 C"
"With my 60 C, that adds up to 130 C, which is only enough for one night at one inn and perhaps some food".
The pair seemed to have a temporary solution, but then Mika tapped his fist into his other hand
"We'll have to do odd jobs here and there for money".
Luicien had a look on his face like it was the most revolutionary thing ever.
"Yes yes, Good thinking".
(They weren't the brightest).
Mika pointed to the giant entrance of their town.
"For the moment, we should get going, the last thing I want to do is travel while its dark".
Luicien nodded in agreement.
"You're right, the next town we need to travel to is the town of golden clouds".
It turned out Luicien had some knowledge of the area from his training.
The two of them didn't waste any more time, they already had all the things that they needed, they bid their farewells, stepping foot on the dirt trail on the outside of the town.
By foot it should only take them 5 hours or so.
The journey wasn't so bad, aside from the odd rest here and there, they didn't find themselves with any trouble.
They did however stumble across a person whose cart had seemed to have broken down.
Being friendly in nature Luicien approached the man. "Hello there sir, do you need any assistance?"
The man who was hunched over trying to pick up his goods couldn't resist the offer.
"That would be great, I'm trying to take all of this to the golden cloud town".
His voice was rather hoarse.
Luicien helped the man stand up right.
"That's where we're heading now".
The man chuckled
"What are the odds and for your help ill pay you".
Luicien and Mika became happy, their first chance at making some money.
Luicien locked hands with the guy's hand to strike a deal. Then with the help of Mika picked up the cart, one from either side.
After they picked up the goods and packed up the cart.
They hadn't much longer to go before getting to the town, after all before stumbling across this man, the pair had already been travelling for roughly 4 hours.
The man wanted to make some small talk, so he said.
"What's two men like yourselves travelling to the golden cloud town?".
Mika had no desire to have small talk, however Luicien was a naturally social person.
"We're trying to get to the purple lake forest".
The man made a humming noise.
"That's a long way, plus its abandoned since the rise in soulless ones there have been, why there of all places".
Luicien struggled to get the right words.
"I guess I'm trying to get answers".
The man looked at Luicien with a knowingly look.
"I get that".
They continued to talk about odd things; however, they stopped as before them stood a vastly larger town then they were used to. Above this town were clouds that glowed, that were always constant.
Some theories it's from when the town was first created, the magic stayed and made its way into the clouds keeping them in place.
The man pulled some credits out of his bag.
"Here as promised 40 C".
After handing it to them he walked off with his cart of goods.
Luicien stared at the money in his hand and became excited.
"We officially made our first bit of money".
Mika's attention was also fixed on the money.
"It feels good that we earned this".
Just out of the corner of Luiciens eye, a familiar dark brown hair waved in the wind.
"Victoria".
Is all Luicien could mutter.
Looks like we were going to meet again
Mika looked at him strangely.
"You know her?".
Luicien explained.
"She was also at the purple lake forest with me".
He didn't say anything else, but Luicien just started to walk.
"Victoria hey!".
His voice grew with excitement.
Victoria stopped in her tracks, being a little startled.
"Luicien?".
Luicien stops when he reaches her.
"It's been a while, but I guess we ended up meeting again, what are the chances".
He rubbed his head, a habit he had.
Victoria's expression didn't shift.
"Yea, I suppose, what are you doing here?".
Luicien's expression going somewhat more serious.
"I'm actually trying to go back to the Purple lake forest."
He took a moment to take a deep breath.
"I've actually been having dreams about it since then".
Victoria didn't respond right away, she even hesitated to speak.
"You've been having them as well?".
Her voice was a bit quieter this time.
His eyebrows lifted into a surprised expression.
"You mean to tell me we've been having the same dreams?".
Luicien took a moment to process. He then came up with an idea.
"Why not join me? We can find answers together".
There was a slight waver in her voice.
"I'm not sure that's a good idea, last time we were there, it was dangerous...".
Luicien pointed back at Mika.
"That's true, which is why a friend is joining me or should I say my brother".
Victoria looked even more confused.
"Brother?".
Luicien was still pointing at Mika.
"Yea him".
Victorias voice now sounded a bit lower, plus her eyes avoided his gaze.
"I'm still not sure about this".
Luicien smiled softly to ease her worries.
"If you're worried about money we're making it on the way, some good money too".
Victorias expression shifted, she looked uneasy yet perplexed.
"I am in need of some money; fine I'll join the both of you".
She still looked unsure yet acted like she didn't have a choice for some strange reason.
Hearing this Luicien smiled some more. He then waved over Mika.
"This Mika the other person travelling with us".
Mika voice didn't carry as loud as Luicien's.
"It's nice to meet you".
Luicien introduced Victoria to the Mika.
"This is Victoria, as embarrassing as this is she save me".
Mika's eyes narrowed a little.
"Is that so".
He then turned his gaze up; he noticed the slight darkness of the sky.
"We should probably head to the Inn soon."
Luicien also looked up.
"Yea you're right, will you be joining us there Victoria?".
Victoria turned around
"No Luicien, my house isn't far from here. Plus, there's something I need to do beforehand".
Luicien gave Victoria a little smile.
"Ok well have a goodnight, Victoria".
She turned while saying.
"You too Luicien".
Victoria then walked off, leaving Luicien and Mika
They found a nearby inn and check in.
The money they had was enough for one room that had two beds, while still having enough money for other expenses.
Luicien flopped onto a bed, the comfort of the bed was enough to put him into a state of drowsiness.
Before he knew it, he was already asleep.
Victoria entered her home.
"Hi mum".
She said before going to her room to sleep.
