Chapter 27 - Chapter 27: Everyone Has Their End

Raina's black car rolled silently to a stop outside the hospital. Guards fanned out, weapons hidden but ready, ensuring no one approached. This floor, this room, this moment—Raina would control it all.

She walked through the corridors like a shadow, heels clicking lightly on the tile. Every nurse, every orderly, every passerby instinctively stepped aside. No one dared challenge her.

When she reached Chloe's room, the door was ajar. Inside, Chloe lay weak and bruised, eyes wide with panic as she realized her vulnerability.

Raina stepped forward, slow and deliberate, letting her presence fill the room. She stopped at the bedside, gazing down at Chloe's pale, trembling face.

"I feel bad for you," Raina said softly, pressing a finger lightly against Chloe's wound. "I feel pity."

Chloe screamed, the sound raw and desperate, but the floor was empty. Raina had cleared it. No one would hear. No one would stop her.

"Your dog… gone," Raina continued, cold and precise. "And now… you, the owner, are also becoming the target. Did you know… this is the same hospital he died at?"

Chloe tried to speak, tried to beg, tried to move—but pain and fear rendered her helpless.

Raina leaned in closer, her voice slicing like ice.

"Too bad. You are meeting the same end."

The door opened quietly. A nurse entered, holding a syringe, moving with the precision of someone who knew exactly what to do.

"Miss Chloe… it's time for your medication," she said, calm and sweet.

Chloe's eyes gleamed with defiance. Her lips curled into a twisted smile. Raina watched her and smiled. "Oh… I requested the Grim Reaper himself to come pick you ,I guess he's here already," she laughed, cruel and unhinged, voice trembling with excitement. "Fair well, Chloe… let's meet again—or not. After all… you'll be in hell."

Raina's lips curved into a faint smirk. She leaned down, whispering softly, deadly:

"Everyone has their end. And yours… begins now."

Without another word, Raina turned and left. Albert followed silently, closing the door behind them.

"Miss," Albert asked, his voice low, "we could have let her suffer more…"

Raina smirked, eyes glinting.

"If we did, that bastard who killed Selena would still be coming for her anyway. And that nurse… she doesn't even work here."

The nurse approached Chloe, syringe poised. Chloe's laughter faded into panic, her body frozen, paralyzed by the drug coursing through her veins.

"Stay away from me! No—please—"

It was too late. The needle went in, and Chloe's scream tore through the room, short, sharp, and raw. Then… silence.

Raina's shadow disappeared down the hallway. Albert's eyes followed her, calculating, but he didn't speak. The monitor's steady beep was the only sound.

Chloe's fate was sealed. Her bravado, her curses, her laughter—all vanished into the sterile white walls.

And outside, the world continued, unaware of the cold justice delivered within.
