Chapter 141 - Chapter 138

Earth. North Korea.

Tok'ra Zadreh, like lightning, unleashed a hail of machine gun fire, clearing a path through the soldiers defending Kim Il Sung's residence. Behind him, like a river, poured his loyal Korean fighters and legionnaires from the Golden Legion, their bodies skillfully disguised as locals. They were part of Szadreh's strategic operation aimed at establishing control over two earthly nations. In accordance with Szadreh's doctrine, these countries, which had lost the world's attention after the Korean War, were targeted. South Korea, where Ban Chung-hee's place was now occupied by his comrade, was preparing for a change of government. North Korea, according to the plan, was to come under Zadreh's control, who would neutralize the political elite and end the dictatorial regime of the local leader.

The Golden Legionnaires, demonstrating the highest level of training, methodically eliminated the guards. The sounds of grenade launchers echoed throughout the surrounding area. Assassinating Kim Il-sung with poison seemed overly sophisticated, considering that in 1956 he himself had mercilessly dealt with moderate communists. Now, it seemed, it was time to respond in kind, demonstrating that the enemy was capable of striking at the heart. Loyal officers, Zadrekh believed, could be eliminated later, secretly. The front of the residence, a symbol of power, was reduced to rubble.

The situation escalated when artillery fired from tanks captured from the guards, unleashing a devastating barrage on the residence. Then, over the radio, Zadreh ordered a ceasefire and led his fighters deeper into the building, where panic drove the guards out, becoming targets for a barrage of fire. The rebels, led by Zadreh, were superbly armed and equipped with body armor—which, while not providing complete protection, was a significant advantage—and advanced relentlessly.

The coup promised to be bloody. Kim Il Sung had already established a government loyal to him to the last drop of blood, with executors who only praised their leader. And all this power had now gathered for a meeting. The facility was, of course, heavily guarded, but that was precisely what made the daring plan possible. The legionnaires acted openly, but they were preceded by numerous sabotage operations prepared by the Golden Legion to ensure the success of the assassination.

Flying over the bodies of their victims, Zadrekh's group rushed toward Kim Il Sung's office to personally deal with the tyrant. Such determination would have earned them extra points. His brothers in arms marched with him, a united front, to destroy yet another dictator who seemed no different from the Lord of the Systems.

Soldiers with automatic weapons, unmarked, rushed toward them. They fell victim to intense fire at close range. Grenades were thrown into the rooms from which screams were heard, indiscriminately targeting those responsible. A clear signal had to be sent to all remaining Kim Il Sung loyalists: this would be the fate of anyone who dared to oppose the new government.

"They're taking him to the western exit," the observer's voice came through the earpiece. "Yes, they all used high-tech gadgets during the operation, the main thing was that they were completely undetectable."

Zadreh couldn't see, but as the North Korean leader, surrounded by a dozen bodyguards, was escorted out of the building, an armored personnel carrier rolled up. They happily asked for their leader to be evacuated. But their calculations were false. In their final moments, they realized they were not facing allies... A moment later, they were blown to pieces as machine-gun fire reduced the guards and the leader of the state himself to a bloody mess. Continuing to clear the residence, the squads acted methodically, leaving no chance for survivors.

Meanwhile, the capital was falling under the control of Szarekh's forces and disloyal military units recruited by the Tok'ra. Government quarters, ministries, garrisons—everything was falling into their hands. Radio stations were seized. Loyalist forces were panicked, unsure what to do. In other parts of the country, a systematic elimination of high-ranking officials—party leaders and military personnel—who could pose a threat began. They were eliminated without the slightest compassion. Zadrekh needed to demonstrate access to elite intelligence forces capable of eliminating anyone, and to demonstrate that the new government would show no mercy to attempts to overthrow it.

A few hours later, Zadreh will issue a statement overthrowing the illegitimate and authoritarian government of Kim Il Sung, a tyrant who killed many loyal party members. Using his power, he imposed anti-communist and dictatorial views, alienating the DPRK from its allies—China and the USSR. The new course will be based on deep integration into the global communist movement. Any protests against the "True Communist Party of Korea" will be suppressed with extreme brutality. Kim Il Sung will be declared eliminated, and such will be the fate of every enemy of the revolution.

Naturally, protests will follow, which will be suppressed, including with the active participation of the Golden Legion, and the instigators will be eliminated. A huge amount of work lies ahead, but the first stage is already accomplished. Zadrekh has become the leader of the state. How much easier it was for his South Korean counterpart, who simply had to win the election, compared to Zadrekh, who had to fight his way through with a machine gun in hand and coordinate a military operation on a national scale.
