Chapter 47 - Chapter 47 — The Secret of Tanaka Masao’s Room

Early the next morning.

The Tanaka parents went to work, and Tanaka Masao went to school.

That left only Jahy at home.

After breakfast, Jahy looked around the now-empty house and immediately felt bored.

"Alright. I'll thoroughly explore this new base."

Although she'd been here for two days, she hadn't entered most of the rooms yet. With no one home, this was the perfect chance.

Her first stop: Tanaka Masao's room.

Jahy smoothly used her magic to open the door.

The last time she'd come in here, it was at night—and she'd been on a mission—so she hadn't really looked around.

But the moment she stepped inside this time, she sucked in a sharp breath.

"Hiss—what the hell is this?!"

Against the wall stood a massive display cabinet.

That cabinet was divided into countless smaller compartments, and inside each one was a cute bishōjo figurine.

Naturally, these figures had all been bought by Masao's original self.

He'd been collecting them since elementary school, all the way up until before his transmigration. The total number was… considerable.

After transmigrating, when Masao cleaned his room, he'd thought the figures were actually pretty nice-looking.

So instead of putting them away, he rearranged them according to his own taste.

Jahy swallowed hard and shakily approached the display case.

"T-These… could it be that they're all people sealed away by that bastard Masao, imprisoned here and turned into his slaves?!

He's even more terrifying than a demon… no, he's a demon among demons."

She carefully examined the figures.

"Humans, beastmen… and succubi, elves, magical girls…"

"What?! There are even angels, demons, and dragons?!"

She staggered backward a step, her face filled with terror.

"To capture so many races… what exactly is Tanaka Masao?"

"No wonder I couldn't beat him. It's not that I'm weak—it's that he's absurdly strong."

Jahy had found the reason for her defeat.

So many races had already fallen to him; her own loss was only natural.

"Yiyaa—yiyaa—"

She shook her head vigorously.

"Now's not the time to be relieved! That bastard Masao has definitely already set his sights on me."

"If I don't prepare properly, I'll be the next one sealed into this display case!"

Clutching her head, Jahy looked on the verge of collapse.

"What am I supposed to do?!"

Then her eyes lit up as she stared at the figures.

"Fighting alone definitely won't work. I need to form an alliance."

She reached out, opened a cabinet door, and took out a demon and a succubus figure.

"Hey—hey. We're both demons. We should join forces and resist together."

When there was no response, Jahy activated her magic senses.

She shook her head regretfully.

"The souls are already gone… only empty shells remain. What a waste."

She casually put them back and turned her gaze toward the angel and magical girl figures.

"Even though we were enemies before—and I really don't want to cooperate with you—right now we share a common enemy."

"We have no choice but to work together. Lend me your power."

Angels, magical girls, dragons—she took them all out.

In the end, she even checked the ordinary human figures.

But without exception, every single one of them was an empty shell with no soul.

"Damn it… not a single survivor left? That Tanaka Masao really is ruthless."

She weakly punched the floor, angry—and worried.

Running away was an option… but Jahy had her pride. How could she flee at the first sign of trouble?

Taking a deep breath, she forced herself to calm down and looked around the room again.

"There have to be other secrets here. Maybe there's something that can be used against that bastard Masao."

Eventually, her eyes landed on Tanaka Masao's computer.

It sat in the most conspicuous spot in the room, the largest item after the bed.

Judging by the desktop setup, he used it often.

Jahy hopped onto the chair and sat in front of it, studying it carefully.

"Oh~ this chair's pretty comfortable. That Masao guy really knows how to live."

After enjoying it for a moment, she started pressing buttons on the computer.

"It should be this one, right?"

"Oh—there it is. It lit up. As expected of me. I mastered this machine effortlessly."

"And then you control it like this…"

After fumbling around for a bit, Jahy managed to grasp the basics. She opened a folder labeled Study Materials.

"Whatever Masao is studying must be extremely important. Let's see what's inside."

"…These—aren't they the ones who were just sealed?"

Looking at the thumbnails, Jahy recognized several familiar figures.

"Why are they here?"

Driven by curiosity, she clicked one.

A few minutes later—

"What… what is all this?!"

Jahy stared at the screen, her face burning red.

Displayed was a race she knew all too well—a succubus.

Young, beautiful, with an incredible figure, the succubus was currently "working."

And her customers were… far too many to count.

Sometimes it was one person.

Sometimes two or three.

At peak times, she was completely surrounded—packed so tightly there wasn't even room to breathe.

Jahy's breathing grew ragged.

Not from excitement.

From rage.

"How dare they do this to such a cute succubus! Unforgivable! Absolutely unforgivable!"

In the Demon Realm, succubi were beautiful, adorable, and extremely popular—something akin to idols.

Scenes like this would never happen there.

More importantly, as the most charming being in the Demon Realm aside from the Demon Lord herself, Jahy actually carried some succubus blood.

(Strictly speaking, in terms of looks, Jahy surpassed the Demon Lord—but as a subordinate, how could she outshine her boss? That's what you call demon-world social etiquette.)

Unable to bear watching the succubus suffer any longer, Jahy closed the video and opened another.

"Oh… poor dragonkin."

"Oh… poor elf."

"Oh… poor human."

"Oh… poor—wait, no. That's a magical girl. Then she deserves it."

"This one's an angel. Then that one deserves it too."

For most races, Jahy only glanced briefly before skipping ahead.

But when it came to the defeat-result scenes of magical girls and angels, she lingered a little longer, thinking that this kind of thing wasn't entirely unwatchable.

After finishing everything on the computer, Jahy analyzed the situation.

"What's recorded here must be scenes of these poor souls being tormented while they were alive."

"Their souls are probably sealed inside as well, suffering humiliation every single moment."

She felt pity for them—and concern for herself.

"Could I… end up like that too?"

The moment she imagined her own "result screen," Jahy shook her head violently.

"No. I will never allow that to happen."

She jumped down from the chair and spoke to the computer.

"You all… endure it a little longer. If I get the chance, I'll find a way to set you free."
