The excitement didn't fade
By evening, the whole class was talking about the party.
Messages kept popping up and the Group chats were active.
Irene sat on her bed, staring at the air
Irene, we're leaving in one hour," mia called from irene's bathroom
"I know," Irene replied.
"Then why are you not ready?", mia asked as she come out from the bathroom
"I don't know what to wear," Irene said, frustrated.
Mia walked straight to the wardrobe. "That's why i'm here."
Within minutes, they both of them started going through her clothes.
This one?" irene asked.
"Too simple," mia said.
"What about this?", irene asked
"Too boring.", mia said
Irene sighed. "Then you people pick for me."
Mia paused, then reached for something at the back.
She pulled out a red outfit."This?"
Irene shook her head immediately. "No."
"Yes."mia nodded. "Just try it."
Irene hesitated at first but she later took it though
A few minutes later, she stepped out and stood in front of the mirror.
She didn't say anything,
The dress is deep red in colour ,impossible to ignore. It fitted her just right, not too tight, not too loose, it fall smoothly to just above her knees. The fabric was soft and slightly silky, catching the light whenever she moved.
It had thin straps and a clean neckline, nothing too complicated, but it made her look more confident than she felt.
She paired it with black heels, not too high, just enough to add a little height. Her hair fell naturally over her shoulders, slightly curled at the ends.
For a moment, she just stood there, studying her reflection.
It actually looked good different from what she usually wore.
Mia smiled. "wow, you're such a damsel"
Irene folded her arms. "It's… okay."
"It's not 'okay,'" mia said. "It's perfect."
Irene tried to fake a smile
Now that you're set let do the makeup and hair
Lucian's pov
Lucian stood in his room, adjusting his sleeve,He was already dressed, Nothing unoticeable.
"You're going out." he heared from behind and he turned slightly.
His mother stood by the door, watching him.
"I have to," Lucian said.
She walked in slowly. "Since when do you attend parties?"
"Since now.", he replied nonchalantly as he sprey his perfume
She studied him for a moment.
"This is about the girl, isn't it?"
Lucian didn't answer immediately and his mother's expression changed slightly.
"You're getting involved.", she said
"She's already involved," Lucian said.
"Then you should stay away from her, this is none of your business", she said in whisper
Lucian shook his head. "it is, it is my business"
"Be careful, afterall", she said
" I will", he replied
Her mother was abiut to step out of his room , she stooped and said"And don't call me if anything happens because i warned you"
