Lore: Lairois Hui
The Lairois Hui are the first Lairois encounter in chapter 1.
The Lairois Hui are among the earliest known Lairois recorded in sorcerer history. Unlike most Lairois, a Hui is not a single creature but a group of dog-like entities that move and hunt together as one. Ancient records suggest they existed long before the era of Taibang Sana Heithoiba, appearing frequently during the early days when the boundary between realms was still unstable. Because of their nature, they were commonly encountered and hunted by sorcerers, especially those in training.
Scholars believe the Lairois Hui were formed from the embodiment of a dog's hostility and resentment toward humans, corrupted by dark spiritual energy from Lairois Leipak. Over time, these emotions shaped small packs of creatures that behaved like feral hunting hounds. Although each individual Hui is weak compared to other Lairois, their true danger lies in their numbers and instinctive coordination. A pack can overwhelm careless opponents by attacking from multiple directions.
Through countless encounters with sorcerers across history, the Hui have continuously evolved, adapting to survive against human techniques. Even so, they remain classified as one of the weakest forms of Lairois, and for that reason they are often used as a test of strength for young sorcerers beginning their journey.
