Mirella stepped forward first.
With a gentle motion of her hand, a sphere of white light blossomed above her palm, bathing the cave in a soft radiance.
The walls immediately became visible.
Smooth-cut stone.
Carefully laid flooring.
And there are distinct marks of dwarven craftsmanship.
The air inside was cool and damp, carrying the scent of stone and underground water.
Their footsteps echoed softly as they descended.
After five minutes, they entered a small chamber about three meters wide, likely once used by the dwarves as a storage room or resting point.
To the right stretched a passage from which the sound of water grew louder.
To the left extended another broad tunnel disappearing into darkness.
Wood pointed. "The right passage leads to the underground lake," he said. "The left leads to the valley."
Sienna nodded thoughtfully.
By her estimate, this underground lake was likely connected to the same body of water beneath the castle.
