But Altair wasn't even paying attention to him.
His mind was already several steps ahead, running through his options with calm calculation. Heracles wouldn't want to be summoned unless the opponent was worth his time. King Arthur might have moral conflicts fighting children. Delilah, on the other hand, had no moral conflict she might just kill Omar in the process—and that was a problem.
Altair didn't want him dead.
He was just a foolish kid eager to prove something that didn't need proving.
His last option was Musashi.
But first, he wanted to test his own strength.
"How about I face you one on one?" Altair asked, his voice calm. "Make it a fair fight?"
Omar's grin widened, but there was something cruel in it now. "You think I care about fair fights?"
