Chapter 1 - A Sunny Day That Went Sideways

My name? Call me Kaito Renji—a fusion of English flair and Japanese roots, a name as confused as my existence. You see, when I woke up in this world—reincarnated, they said—I didn't dream of saving it. Nope. My big plan? Live quietly, get a decent quirk, maybe inherit a cozy dojo. Spoiler: the universe laughed in my face.

That sunny morning, I was living my toddler dream. My mom—ever-dutiful teacher—took me to her school visit. And me? Oh, I was on top of the world! I thought, "Today, I unlock my golden quirk and become a legend." Ice cream in hand, I smiled—too fast to melt, just like my dreams, right?

Then, plot twist—literally. We walked into a shopping complex, and I thought, "Sure, maybe a villain will show up—like a budget version of a manga villain." But no, a brooding guy controlling spikes from the ground—seriously, this cliché was playing out in real life. And me? I thought, "Oh, perfect—just when I'm about to get normal, I get a third-rate villain ruining my day!"

But here's where my grandpa would laugh—oh, he's a piece of work. That cynical old crackpot! He made me run from his dojo my whole life. Every day, mom would drag me past his grumpy little training hall—him inside, lecturing invisible students on discipline, as if we lived in a samurai movie. "Kaito, control your mind! You must be as sharp as a blade!" Yeah, right, grandpa. I'd much rather stay home, eat cookies, and avoid his gruff glare. I swear, one day, I almost considered joining the circus just to escape his "martial destiny."

And now, look at me—running for my life, thinking, "This must be some cosmic joke!" I half expected Deku to jump in, shouting, "Go beyond, Kaito!" But no, it was just me, flailing like a toddler who mistook a villain rampage for a theme park ride.

And then—bam—my eyes blinked open in this endless void. I laughed nervously, "Is this Gojo's infinite void? Did I get the cool upgrade or am I just the universe's punchline?" I thought, "You all must be wondering how this happened—well, let me tell you..." And that's when I knew—this wasn't Gojo's story. This was mine—full of bad timing, weird grandpas, and a limitless mess I still had to figure out.
