As soon as the small family had returned to the cave, Lizzy began to unpack. The tables and chairs she set up in the room where she planned to begin processing and creating potions and salves. She was nervous about that aspect, but knew that it had to be done. She needed a stockpile not just for her own small family, but the village. Krul's appearance made it clear to her that she needed to work to protect the village as much as she could from the other Contestants and Champions.
Lizzy helped both Vaelis and Phantom tuck the children into bed, kissing the forehead of each child before she wandered back into the main cavern. The latest plants were already swaying in their garden beds, ready for harvest. But, what she wanted to focus on at the moment was opening the chest that she had received as a result of the fight with Krul.
